And what I am saying is that you could spam more AoE if you just didn't use DA on Abyssal Drain in the first place. Every DA you use after the first means Blood Price has to do more work to regenerate more mana. Not only do you save on MP by completely forgoing DA on Abyssal Drain, you can actually use more AoE. If you don't see the math behind it at this point then this conversation is going nowhere.

Let's say you use Abyssal Drain 5 times. That's 12.5s worth of GCD. DA has a 5 second recast so we can use it 2 times during this. That adds up to 7956 mana. Now let's say we do the same thing, but instead of using DA on Abyssal Drain, we use it on Dark Dance, once. That adds up to 6188. On the average case of DA Dark Dance you will get hit 4/5 times. Let's say you were able to restore enough mana to sustain yourself in the first scenario, exactly 7956 mana. 80% of that is 6364.8. This means that in any scenario you can sustain the former, you can sustain the latter. Not only do you heal enough mana to sustain the same AoE damage, with the Parry and Evasion you have approximately 26% damage reduction. Far more than what DA Abyssal Drain would ever do for you for a much lesser cost. In the case of A2S, yes you can't dodge so you shouldn't use DA on Dark Dance. But rather than waste your mana on DA Abyssal Drain, it would be far better to use 2 more Abyssal Drains. The heal you are getting from the skill is not worth it's cost in mana.
