That's it, majority do not care as long as content is getting cleared, the problems arise when content is not getting cleared and players want to know why. This actually happens more often than not. Everyone with the whole "But I'll get kicked" excuse needs to stop. I raf'd a mage in WoW (Rafing gives you 300% xp you can get to 80 in exactly 15 hours) I had no clue about my rotation due to leveling so fast. I was at the bottom in every dungeon. No one said anything to me, in WoW the game that's notorious for it's "toxic" community and kicking low dps. /rollseyes. People worry for nothing and if you do get kicked, find another party.

This is the thing. The common misconception that people have is that people with parsers are nasties that will yell at you for not going 1,2k dps on dungeons bosses. It's not going to happen, unless someone plays very sub-par to make even the easiest content unclearable; then it is a problem and should be solved. But let's be real. How many times does a party actually wipe casual content because the dps is not enough?
Anyone jumping into raids or extremes thinking "but I can play however I want!" are just a hindrance to the group and essentially giving the finger to all 7 other people. If you want to "play how you want" then stick to casual content, but don't screw other people over. Or do whatever, but don't call people elitists for booting you out of a party in any (half-)serious content.

You know that as an Astrologian i got insulted in a lot of pugs group. This is the thing. I play this class since the release and did all the Alexander stages without any problem the first times (nm). But since 2 or 3 weeks i get insulted as soon as there is a problem in instance like if i should always prove myself as a god-like since i play a class that is always pulled down by players in this forum.
So i can imagine how those kind of players would react if they see that one of the dps is doing really bad in parser...
Ambience !

Maybe you are not as good as you think? I've only been ragged on for being an AST once, and that was in a terrible A3 where the BLMs were doing like 600 DPS at i180 and a NIN kept herping tethers and giving everyone Atrophy and the DRK never used CDs. Even then, I was STILL looking back at those encounters long after they ended and wondering what I could have done to make them a success, rather than saying "nahhhh, those guys sucked, I did everything perfectly and they should feel ashamed for criticizing my obvious awesomeness".You know that as an Astrologian i got insulted in a lot of pugs group.

Ironically, the very parser you're so AGAINST is actually the tool that could help prove that wipes are not your fault, since it shows things like healing throughput and whether or not your tanks are using cooldowns.

This. The other day I ended up in Haukke with a lvl 30 MCH who had obviously just picked up the job and was still figuring it out. DPS was on the slow side because of it, yet no one said a word because we were still clearing things without problems. We didn't wipe; the dungeon just took a bit longer than it would have with a more experienced DPS.
People tend to be pretty chill unless the DPS is so bad that the dungeon is taking twice as long as it should, which I would say counts as being a legit issue.
Like the other week, was in Aery and BLMs rotation was, wierd to say the least :P, so progress was slow. No one said anything till we got to Nidhogg, because the BLMs DPS was so low (totally ignored any friendly advice given about how to improve his DPS) we could not kill the adds before Nidhogg did his ultimate and wiped us, 4 tries later we had to replace the BLM otherwise would have ran out of time banging our head pointlessly against this. Got a 2nd BRD and kerpow!
Forgot to mention, BRD was using Foe Req to try and help DPS increase, but yeah, BLM was that low that it didnt help at all. I was on PLD at the time too. switched to sword oath for the adds to try and help also.
His rotation, which I'm pretty sure I remember correctly was. Fire 3 till empty then blizzard 3 till full. Thing is he was stood around for about 5 seconds between every cast, then when was out of mana due to fire 3 spam, he stood around upto 10-15 seconds waiting on mana before going to blizzard 3.

This really hurt to read. The DPS in that case was so bad that it could give cancer...and it's really surprising people don't figure out basics that you can figure out just with a little thinking. His rotation, which I'm pretty sure I remember correctly was. Do more damage in Astral Fire 3.
Fire III gives instant full stacks.
Fire has a chance of Fire 3 procs that are insta-cast and no MP use.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out to Fire 3 just for the full stacks and then spam Fire (using procs when they come up) until out of MP...well, at least until you get Blizzard and Fire 4, at which point everything changes.
