Then there's also minion and mount drops to consider as well a leveling alt jobs. No content in FFXIV is outdated.
The point is that the dungeons are static set pieces, and no matter what they do to add incentive to run these dungeons, they have a limited life expectancy. The game world would be more maintainable if they had a good mix of both static and procedural content to run around in, as the procedural dungeons and zones have advantages that the static set piece dungeons lack. Namely replay-ability and opportunities to use ones head to problem solve, such as finding the fastest route to an objective.

If they don't do something like the above the game is going to have severe diminishing returns come each expansion just like with World of Warcraft and other titles.

It wont, because the game style is the same as the lump sum of titles doing the same thing with themepark design. WoW lasted as long as it did because it was the first to popularize it and people weren't yet used to this style of game, which is why so many games that came after had difficulties maintaining player populations. (Well, that and the quality plus amount of content couldn't compete).

Yup I only hop on now to run pvp or see if I can get into a learning party for Rav ex other than that I rather play Hustlers (billiards pool on PS4). And once EQN or other online rpgs/mmos are released for the PS4 I will be dropping sub. I paid $40 for this expansion and I am not a happy customer. I don't want the same ol boring grind that we did in 2.0. Don't get me wrong I love a good grind but who said it has to be boring?

It's easy to keep playing the game: You don't do the stuff that bugs you about it. That doesn't mean someone is going to be playing a month or even a week from the point of posting. Plus a lot of people do these posts right before they leave. Also, just because someone can post on this board, does not mean they are actively playing the game. They just need a sub that is still valid during the time period.

The reason I'm still playing the game is because I haven't exhausted all the non-repeatable quest material that is floating around for leveling. That's about it, really. There is zero point to grinding out time waster dungeon fights when the next content patch will bring echo and all that past effort is worth pretty much nothing but a pat on the back.

Edit: Someone can be critical of a game, and still not hate it. That's one thing that people tend to completely miss about these threads and certain posts.
