I hate certain undercutters. Only certain ones.

For example, I had a HQ crafting tool that I looked up other listings to check prices. Every listing in the HQ version as in the 21,000-22,000 range, so I list mine for 21,000.

Today I check, and some ass has listed the same HQ item for 600. Yep, 600.

There will never be enough of it to significantly impact the market for that item. Just buy it up and resell it, you shouldn't really be complaining about a lucky find.

Lol were still talking about this I already pointed out 10 pages ago.

There is no such thing as a stable market in any mmo where there are gil farmers still around. Free credit debases the free market. You'll never get around that fact. If you want to get into crafting/selling/buying stuff then you are already aware that the market is inflated and distorted.
The question is no longer how much an item is worth based on how much effort it takes to make it. The "real" question is how much gil a person is willing to buy for said item.

Now when you look at the market that way you can understand under cutters. If I buy gil for what i want I put absolutely no value to whatever item I'm selling because its just trash. Theres no effort into receiving what I want so theres no value in the items I happen to chance come by in my travels. So I sell it for next to nothing.

    GL playing the market kiddies.

Lol want my advice? don't play a losing game with the market.

I make alot of real money but not a single credit card or investment why? Because the game is rigged of course. The rich play the market and bid against it when it implodes on itself because they have access to cheap unlimited credit. Everyone else loses their pension, their 401k, life savings, house.

This is why 80% of the housing in this game was bought with fake cash baby. Guaranteed.

Maybe SE could put a system in place that you cannot put something on sale in the market for less than double what an NPC would buy it for. It wont make a huge difference but every little helps resolve some of the issues. I think some people forget not everyone is putting things on by undercutting in order to sell quicker, market manipulation by causing crashes in the pricing also takes place to the detriment of honest sellers who don't play the markets 24/7 but unfortunately I don't see a good way of solving that.

Too many others will follow that downward trend without thinking about the long term consequences on their own sales of those items in future whom are not rich enough to reset it when hits rock bottom. Many of the ones who are thinking long term are sabotaging the pricing in order to profit later, generally those sorts are already very wealthy and can afford to crash it>buy bulk>reset the general prices. Just seems like too many people are so focused on short term gains without thinking about long term consequences and letting the rich make fools of them in doing so...I don't see that changing in any time soon and I don't think there is really anything SE can do about it either.

Some people will always prey on feeble minds, their fears and insecurities plus other peoples need for instant gratification, there is nothing obvious I can see that SE can implement to fix this from a game mechanics point of view so the solutions must mostly come from the people who play in adjusting their attitudes and actions not the game through mechanics and systems. There are some minor things SE can do to help with some issues but some issues they cannot help with which can only be solved by people not putting up with it anymore en masse.

To me, that 600 gil item is a dumb person giving me 20k profit.

Pick it up and flip it!

Snuggle has a point and a good solution would be to have a fixed low-high pricing based on predetermined parameters such as npc pricing indexes. However the dirty little secret no one wants or even can talk about is that by doing that the company "haircuts" their own real profit margins by implementing a way to force the market trade to be fair and bypass the rmt.

There's no greater way to make money but to create 5 million slaves willing to grind a game for a virtual good that's astronomically and artificially priced whilst in a 15 dollar per month sub.

The real problem is that in the real economy when you artificially inflate the market there will always be a "market correction" but in mmo's theres never this correction that occurs. The correction should be if its inflated DONT BUY IT. But noooooo if its inflated they would rather reach for their plastic.

The problem can only be fixed by a determined community of players that refuse to play the game. This unfortunalty will never happen.

I should clarify. Refuse to play the market not refuse to play the game. The game as far as I'm concerned is wonderful.
