Just curious of this, now that HW has come and most classes got a fairly higher skill ceiling, which melee would you say has the most complicated and/or difficult rotation to do an maintain.

complicated would be ninja imho they have a large number of buttons to press and things to remember
difficult would be up in their air between drg and ninja
difficulty is subjective though what type of difficulty are we talking about and in what setting?
This is really the answer. This arguement has raged since I've been playing this game. difficulty is very subjective. some people find the positionals of the Monk difficult, but the skill rotation of the DRG difficult. some find it vice versa. Some have a horrible time w/lag and mudras...some don't.
Personally, from what I've played and seen, no class is really "easy" anymore. some are less changed then others...but that's really about it. As an example, I always had a hard time with the MNK, but i find that the DRG fits my playstyle well. So even if there was a reality of "one class tougher", I probably would still play DRG, and say it's easier then the others. even if it isn't.

All I know is hearsay.
I don't think NIN is significantly more difficult in HW than it was in ARR. I think it really boils down to your skill at ninjustu. If you were good at mudras before, you probably still will be; if you aren't, then you you'll still have trouble. Armor crush added some complexity (probably), and they got even more utility.
I've heard MNK is fundamentally the same. Replace mudras with positionals, and you've got the same deal as NIN. From what I understand, the new chakras are more annoying than difficult and don't add much complexity to the class. Tornado Kick seems like it'd be important, but I've heard so little about it, so I don't know what to make of it.
DRGs will tell swear up and down that theirs is the most difficult. From what I've heard, if you want to maximize your dps, there is little room for error. Some people will complain about the random positionals added to the class, but I think the heart of the difficulty lies in fitting three Geirskoguls(sp?) into a Blood of the Dragon buff. Supposedly, it's such a tight limitation as to only allow up to 2.5 seconds of acceptable downtime.
But that's just what I've heard. I don't even have HW haha

Just to include all the DPS, probably DRG or BLM. They got new abilities that added unnecessary complexity (BLM gets to juggle a timer *just* to cast the next tier of their elemental spells and DRG gets random positionals while juggling a timer as well). MNK would probably be the next one: lots to do, but not terribly complex. I think the others aren't too complex outside of openers, and even then NIN is almost as simple as ever, only requiring you move for a positional every 30 seconds.

I've played them all for quite a long time during ARR. Each rotation seems complicated at first but becomes second nature at some point.
To be honest, what make a class difficult to play greatly differs on the encounter. For examples many people are claiming monk is the hardest dps to play but T8 and all the turns from the final coil are rather easy. I can only remember few places where it could be tricky to keep GL stacks up, but that's it. On the other hand, all the extremes are a nightmare for a monk and T9 was also rather annoying since your damage couldn't spike up.
I don't necessarily think any mechanics is arguably harder than another with enough muscle memory it get pretty straight foward but the fights can make your life easier or harder.
I like all the complexity to all the jobs SANS the loss of the 2.0 BArd feel and i hope something is done- if summoner can get DARK FLARE- bards should get their mobility back.
like others have mentioned it varies alot on the situation. i haven't gotten to lv 60 but. lv 50- MNK - imo the hardest- have to maintain Gl x3 constantly that means don't stop attack plus positions- with bosses moving alot/ being untargetable- makes the harder. But i love that we have a job like that in ff14
