    I have no idea how tanks are getting away with not using cooldowns. I find myself having to drink potions and burn cooldowns up to, and including, Hallowed Ground on simple trash pulls ;_;

    I know it's been said before, but I really wish people would get out of the mindset that they still vastly outgear everything.

    I try to pop Shadowskin whenever. Havent really found a situation to use the higher end buff though (forgot its name.. thats how often i use it) unless its a "oh shit" moment.

    As a warrior myself since 2.0. I didn't know there was such an problem until I started lvling sch recently. There's a few tanks that never turn on their cd even tho they pull large amount of mobs. And those are mainly people who play DPS. This is a big problem since now warrior has a DPS stance and all the dps wants to try warrior resulting in noob tanks. (Ps. that's just my speculation)

    One thing I learned when I first started healing speedruns of Braflox HM was that there's a huge difference between a good WAR and a bad WAR and only the healer can really tell. I remember a lower geared WAR deciding to pull the entire first room without asking me, and me being lower geared as well--he ended up dying. I told him politely that we won't be able to pull that off, I'd done it with geared tanks but this was just too much. He got offended and told me that he's done it before so there's no reason I shouldn't be able to heal him through it, and since then whenever I carry some overzealous tank in DPS accessories biting off more than they can chew, I feel a little guilty because I just know the next healer he gets who can't carry him will be hearing the same thing I heard in Brayflox HM "well I did it before, so there's no reason you shouldn't be be to heal me through it".

    Very soon after this I did the same pull with a VERY similarly geared FC WAR and it went smothly.

    A good motto to remember for all jobs is... Cooldowns are for trash!

    Because low level dung runs don't teach new tanks to do anything cept let the healer tank since the healer can pick up 8 mobs and heal himself as he slowly kills everything.

    People are bad later on because of the god awful habits instilled by the impatient early on. Just got out of a run where I didn't tank a damn thing because the scholar plowed through the dungeon. Sync needs to be harsher. That way people aren't woefully undertrained when they get to harder stuff.

    I've never had that happen ever since I've been playing but gotta say that is more "lol"-worthy than anything.

    Regardless I do agree on the main point that dungeons don't teach tanking all that well until you get into the EX Primals and the later HW dungeons. I still applaud the Heavensward dungeon designers for really doing a good job at introducing toned-down raid mechanics in regular dungeons.

    Yeah I've never had somebody else tanking my mobs for me, but I also wouldn't put up with it. I feel like the levelling dungeons in this game are good for teaching, but I do think it could use another small difficult instance or two early on before AV at 47.

    I'm going to assume you mean undergeared/at dungeon level geared tank vs overgeared/i170/i180 SCH. Yeah REALLY HARD to keep aggro off them before you get your tank stance.

    The answer is simple to the OP's question. "They don't want to tank. They want to focus on DPS. Its your job to insure they stay alive so that you're basically healing a 1 healer, 3 dps dungeon." <--- This is the mindframe people have yet seem to not really say out loud.
