How bad of a design is making an entire skill for rare occasional use. Well I'm glad I have something for a fight you decide to shove a crap mechanic into every 6-7 months.

As of right now the skill is basically to remove a single pacification from the start of a fight. With this much thought going into the job in-general I can see why it was butchered.

Zero reason to use it so far, the fact is has a cast time makes it even more useless given most boss skills are quicker casting than the song itself often on top of having very little (if any) need for precast esuna

Wow so you're gonna have to learn the fight and pay attention and get the timings down for when to use it? Colour me shocked. And its almost guranteed that in whatever situation we'll be using warden's paeon to block some debuff that that debuff won't be esunable if we miss getting hte warden's paeon up in time.

And how many of them would be significantly harder to use than one that you'll always have on another class?

They could have added a new song instead of this half arsed support ability. I don't know, a physical foe? Regen Hp? Haste song?
