It appears as if the high population servers are near inaccessible. I was in Hyperion for a whole 2 minutes but when more people began entering I got booted and now I cannot even bring up my character images and when I select one and press enter I get error 1014 yet my character on Brynhildr (non Legacy) has no problems logging in. SE has had experience with this before yet they still cannot get it right. I do not know how their resources were allocated but obviously it is not correct. I have a bad feeling that this is going to be just like the launch of ARR where Early Access was all but wasted due to login problems

It's called congestion. Not all people are going to be effected the same. We are literally DOSing our own servers, and as such there are going to be problems.

I don't think it's just SE. In the last 10 years, no company has managed to launch an MMO or an MMO expansion with a multi-million player base without that launch being a complete mess. Maybe it's just not possible. Also, this kind of shit is the reason people write anti-afk bots...

I think a staggered log in would be much more appropriate. Start with pacific time and move eastward (e.g., PDT logs in at 1 PDT -> then one hour later MDT -> CDT -> etc. etc.) would avoid sooo many issues.
