To The Dragoon Haters Out There...

I actually don't understand how dragoons seem to die so much, if your hp get to about 2k get back and range the mobs with bloodbath and doom spike...

I die far more on Monk than Dragoon. I usually never die on Dragoon. Most dead Dragoons are usually inexperienced and have no clue how to utilize their jumps. It makes me sad whenever I see a Dragoon open with Dragon Fire Dive, especially since they're getting no boost from their Cool Downs on it. Usually a Dragoon is going to get animation locked on a jump or LB right when something they need to dodge pops up. That said, on my main character, she close to 1800 commendations, but I see I need to step up my game to get 3000.

one more thing about derpgoon: they're based on Kain Highwind, a joke character of the series.

Kain's not really a joke character... Sure he was easily mind controlled in 4, but he was extremely useful when used correctly (And had to SOLO dark Bahamut in later versions.) But moving beyond that... Kain is based on the Dragoons of Final Fantasy III (Which are subsequently based on Ricard from II.) III had a tendency of requiring certain jobs for certain parts of the game (i.e. Scholars for Hein or Dark Knights in Falgabird), and Garuda could really only be easily beaten with Dragoons. Let us also not forget the most popular strategy for defeating the Shin-ryu Super Boss in V was using 4 Dual Wielding Dragoons to avoid Tidal Wave.

I don't think drgs are bad, I know 4 of them that do not die, know how to dodge the aoes when they are playing seriously, and they do massive amount of damage. The problem of dragoons is, that lot of people do not know how to play them. So the hate is for the dragoons that do not know how to play their own class, not to the dragoons overall - dragoons who know what the hell they are doing are damn good in my opinion and I love watching them fight - I on the other hand tried it, got it to 50, but I don't think I am good enough to actually play it bard for life here.

Did a t10 a few nights ago, the Dragoon died 5 times (kept standing in front of the OT during wild charge). Loot drops and both are greed... he takes them for jobs he doesn't have leveled. When the others were upset that he'd greed he said, "It's random, anyone can get it"

Seriously though, I get commendations on tank just for showing up. DD rarely get love even if you rocked it I'd say 1/4 primal runs nets a com. As a tank 1/2 Most of the time I get 2 coms as a tank per run. >.>
