Judging by the looks of the dragon mount, it's very like that's simply Midgardsormr grown to a new size during his recovery. It may not look much like fully grown Midgardsormr, but it looks very much so like the Midgardsormr minion. So the dragons as a whole probably aren't doing us too many favors, but Midgardsormr will still be with us one way or another.

Maybe Nidhogg makes his ranks go through some weird eye gouging ceremony, like a whole "Share my suffering to show your loyalty and anger towards the Ishgardians"?
I fear we may have to kill Nidhogg due to his rage but will otherwise find a peace with the other dragons. I actually don't think Nidhogg and the situation with the dragons will be the true problem for us to solve in the expansion though. The presence of not one but two allagan dungeons in the preview video, plus the confirmation of the Warring Triad on the Floating Continent, and the fact the Garlean Emperor is also in the skies suggests to me that there's going to be a plot twist or two that will shift our focus away from Ishgard.

Final Fantasy is often known to have a sudden reveal of a 'greater threat' and it would serve as a good catalyst to unite Ishgard and Dravania against a common enemy (which is the only way I see this war ending, regardless of how it started).

As others have pointed out though, I think the identities of the black and white dragons are pretty much confirmed via press events now.

I don't know. They'll pronbably notice that we are using the father of all dragons as a mount. We will soon have an army of dragons.

Unless, like the Magitek mount, he doesn't grow or allow us to ride him until the end of the 3.0 storyline as some sort of reward for something. Perhaps putting down his deranged son who was dragging out a war and putting plenty of dragon lives at risk. We know we don't get him immediately, and he won't be the first flying mount we get (Bayohne said in an interview that the first one we'll get is the Black Chocobo), so I think it's reasonable to think that he'll be a reward for completing the 3.0 storyline.

Ah yes, that's also a possibility.

Well Bahamut has 2 forms, Primal Bahamut that is the citysized version, and Bahamut Prime which I theorize is his true size. The one you fight in turn 13.. Only Bahamut of the elder dragons was transformed into a Primal. Thus the other Wyrmkings are at the size they are and not the size of Primal Bahamut.

Bahamut prime isn't it's true size, it's the primal version of Bahamut reduced to its very core, the real Bahamut that died a thousand years ago or so was probably as big as vishap if not even bigger.

This could also be true. To be frank none of the dragons we saw in Heavensward so far were the size of Midi and Bahamut. In Fact the primal Bahamut might be larger than Midi.

We don't know that fora certainty, neither do I with my theory. I'm basing it on Phoenix and louisoix (sp). Whereas Louisoix died at cartaneau, is he in a way form of "Phoenix prime"?
