Good luck finding translator to translate this part in real time.
because you have more people talking in english around the world, same it's easy to translate from english than chinese or japanese in our case. you will find more people talking english than japanese.
like my name let it know, i'm french, but thanks to have try this ^^
i only ask it in english, because do it in other language will take more money, at least english is talk in many country and can be easily translated after hand by people of the community, that not the case of the japanese sadly.
it's more about the lack of communication that i point out, why do an event this long only for the japanese, i means the community is not only japanese, we are more than this. you have people from all around the world, why this lack of communication? that more about this. It's FOURTEEN hours of live broadcoast, people. Never mind the logistics involved in actually translating 14 hours of conversation into English, French, German, and whatever else, but who the hell wants to sit and listen to 14 hours of dev talk? I mean...seriously???
Give me a translated abbreviated version in a week that's a few pages long, and call it a day. Problem solved. No need to throw a hissyfit and run to the forums to post a "BOOOOO, SE!!" whine thread. Good god.

Ahh, your true colors emerge. American exceptionalism at its finest. This was never about racism or discrimination, it was about special snowflake syndrome.
As much as I'd like to see all Live Letters and live events translated to English, we have to keep in mind that SE would have to translate into German and French as well for there to be any fairness. Frankly, I'd rather them focus their attention and funding elsewhere.

I wounder if Blizzard did once an live event with german live translators in NAit's the principe that i'm against, when you release a game for the world, advertising like a crazy for make it a succes around the world like they do. you don't leave a large part of the community out of the live event. it's rude for them... it's not like the E3, gamecon or other place, where people need to move. the live event can be followed by everybody. they need to be think for all the community not only a part. the fact that they are japanese are not a reason good enough, a good example is nintendo that take time to make communication in english for make sure everybody is touched.
People explained it to you countless times.it's more about the lack of communication that i point out, why do an event this long only for the japanese, i means the community is not only japanese, we are more than this. you have people from all around the world, why this lack of communication? that more about this.
Square Enix - JAPANESE COMPANY - DEVELOPMENT TEAM FOR THEIR MMOs ARE JAPANESE.
Relevant Information - Posted in all languages during and after the event.
There's no lack of communication. WoW's community isn't only English players..yet where's the streams and conventions for China?
I kind of agree with this, we're lucky if someone live translates this, pretty sure last live letter, no one did, you can not help but feel left out, it does not matter whether SE is in their right to not provide live translation and u can say they dont because they want it to be accurate but in some cases in the past they have had a live translator, god even some app on youtube that provides subs would be nice, it is a pity, but i guess SE is japanese, and till US or Europe make a MMO as good as FFXIV, we have to put up with being left out![]()
