The system can stay. It's because daggers are tied to another class, simple as that. Ranger's don't really need a secondary weapon unless it's another type of ranged weapon, e.g X-bow.

That has absolute nothing to do with it. Both Thm and Conj use clubs and staves, the weapon itself means jack all, its just what they say the weapon is, weather it says Thaumaturge on it or weather it says Conjurer on it.

Having daggers that say Gladiator or something else or saying Archer will work fine.

The weapon type means NOTHING to how it works. In the end its just a 3D Mesh.
