I have a dumb question. I've just planted my very 1st garden, with honey lemons, pineapples and apricots (bought those on MB). I see that the lemons and pineapples are growing faster than the apricots. So those two will be ready to harvest when the apricots are still growing. Do I harvest the lemons and pineapple as soon as possible, or wait until all plants can be harvested at the same time? I read a horrible post earlier in this thread where someone waited too long to harvest a ripe plant and the plant died. So I'm afraid to wait on harvesting the lemons\pineapples, but if I pick those before the apricots are ready, will I still get the royal kukuru bean seeds I'm trying for?

I picked my honey lemons ~3-4 hours before I picked my apricots and received royal kukuru seeds from both honey lemons and apricots. I force-fed my apricots fertilizer after the honey lemons ripened to try and speed them into developing faster, but threw up my hands realizing that I had no idea how much effect the fertilizer would have, and then decided that I should really figure out whether harvesting them at different times would have an effect.

So <= 4 hours definitely makes no difference in whether they intercross. The honey lemons and apricots were planted at the same time.

I was able to obtain the desired seeds from other plants while the Apricots were still growing, and also I was able to harvest seeds from the Apricots when they were finally ready (~3-4 hours later, like Firetta - haven't tested a longer period).

You can also just wait for the Apricots to catch up and harvest everything all at once without worry. They are usually ready within the same 24 hr period as the other plants. I wouldn't wait 2+ days to harvest everything.

The Lemons were ready first so I harvested and got 2 bean seeds from those. 3 hours later the apricots were ready and I ended up getting not a single seed from them. Mind you this was all with grade 3 Thanalan soil. The lesson I learned was when stuff grows unevenly only fertilize the ones that grow slower or you'll end up wasting your time and expensive seeds. As a result my glazenut growing I'm trying to plan for just got delayed by at least another 2 grow cycles because now I need to get more apricots to try for kukuru beans again.

What I did was replant the seed that was harvested. It worked fine, though I'm not even sure if I needed to.

Has anyone managed to figure out Jute yet? So far I've had no luck with Almonds x Star Anise.. (maybe that combination is wrong I'm not sure..)

Was there any particular soil you used? Grade 2 or 3 Thanalan? Did you fertilize them both at the same time or just one over the other? (perhaps instead i should try Star Anise x Almonds)

Grade 2 or 3 will increase RNG its not a requirement to obtain a seed. I've used both lvl 2 and lvl 3 successfully to obtain glazenuts just as a test. You are better off using Grade 3 naturally but just for example I did an entire bed this week of 1apricots/3honey lemons/4 prickly pineapple with all grade 2 thanalan and was able to get 2 royal K and 4 apricots. I planted like this

apparently the Apricot was able to crossbread with both prickly pineapples while the prickly pair was successful able to crossbreed with both the Apricot and Honey lemon
So it might be possible to get 4x4 seeds if the right crossbreeds are used to maximize seeds

Grade 3 Thanalan on both, and until now I have always been fertilizing everything.

Can confirm 12h works (picked all the pineapples and lemons, picked apricots 12h later and found Kukuru seeds).
