Honestly we need some tiered end game content that takes longer than a couple of hours per week. Raiding FC's and shells will fail to get any real traction until this happens. The majority of people I knew who were looking seriously at end game have left the game several months ago due to lack of content.

Tome grinding is boring, CT is also boring, the 2.1 content got old very quickly. We're still plagued by server issues. Too many fights rely on artificial difficulty and are about as much fun as hammering nails in once you get the hang of them, the list goes on.

I can beat those fights no problem its the fact that I seen them on youtube and felt its the same thing with same stuff with a few new moves added.

Problem is when people like you don't speak up they will keep feeding you same content on a higher tier, let me set up a maze you been through then just change boxes around but in the same room and you'll say its great.

I also wonder if the money we are subscribing to Final Fantasy 14 is going towards updating Final Fantasy XI the whole flag ship thing.

Seems that they are reusing FF14 content in FF11.

How about we give the game time to get to its first expansion and add some content? I can't think of any MMO release that didn't have people leaving because of boredom after 6 months with no updates to the game.

Actually, there was one. WoW. Which was so popular they pulled it from stores, and retailers doubled the price on the box. I still remember seeing vanilla WoW for $79.99 CDN at Future Shop. Waited a few months, and got it for $39.99 when things returned to normal.

Problem with every "other" MMO you're thinking of? They all tried to be WoW. People get bored that much quicker, when they're basically playing WoW with different character models. Almost every mmo since has been an attempt at the "WoW pie". People can cite small differences in all these other mmo's, but their core functions were basically WoW with a different lick of paint on it. This game is no different. WoW: FF XIV. For every difference (in functionality, not asthetics) from this game to WoW, there are 5 or 6 similarities. This game has no soul to call it's own. WoW was no gem really imo, but..... they managed to check all the right boxes to make it a success. All these other mmo's are checking all those same boxes still today, 10 years later. Think the major consensus on that would be "been there, done that", and boredom sets in quick.

All I am basically saying is this.

Don't pitch us content you claim that is new when it is not.
Example for the ones who think its great stuff and a easy way of explaining it for you to understand. A dealer sells a car, the owner wrecks it into a tree, they take it to a repair shop clean it up and put it back on the car lot and claim its new for the same price it was originally sold for.
Question is- Is the car used or new? would you pay the original price for a used car? So I compare it with lets say copper mines and Hard mode it is said its new and most people believe it but im the one who doesn't buy into it all I am saying.

the bad thing about this is i want hm dungeons i can't wait for 2.2 because of brayflox hm, and dang will hm qarn and cutters cry be awesome.
my point being is people want this content that is why they are making it not because they are lazy and wanna reuse content because its lolz easy, as you see we get a completely new dungeon and new bosses too yea some are old like getting good king mog extreme but people also want that so my question is, is it really bad they are making content people have been asking for?

How do you propose this should get fixed? There is always SOMETHING that is at the very TOP of the content and for some people, yes I'm looking at a lot of people in this thread, ALL they want to do is get the best gear they can.

What are you saying, that we need to have 10 different dungeons that drop the same quality of gear?

Hmm, a good idea.
1 top ilevel gear set with 5 pieces
5 dungeons
each dungeon drop only 1 specific gear from the set
and you only get it if you defeated the endboss within a speedrun

No it is not and that's fine but its not right to ignore the ones who want something different either.
