Monk already has Fists of Wind.
You don't need a new move, you just need Fists of Wind to actually do something noticeable.

lol. Maybe if Featherfoot was 100% evasion and Second Wind just heals what does that have to do with evading?
If they fixed Fist of Wind to give you more movement speed while engaged that would work.
I would have to test it but I think Mantra does effect Second Wind, I use it when I need to self heal. I know Internal Release effects SW.
You may like DRGs elusive jump because it looks cool but in terms of practical use its faster to just walk out of the red. Its main use is the build in enmity drop.
Tbh i wished you wouldnt even backjump, as in most cases its just a dps loss because you have to walk back like an idiot, when all you really wanted was to decrease your enmity or get rid of that bind.
I was told that using Repelling Shot / Elusive Jump makes it so you can't actually go off the edge. Instead you wind up on some other area of the arena. The dragoon one you're talking about isn't exactly an evasion/avoid damage thing. Try using it in CT when there's crap on the floor, you still take damage until you land on the save zone(which takes a long time). You'll probably end up dying if you try using this in something like titan/ifrit extreme.

The concern is less going off the edge and more going into something bad or having the game still think you're where you started when the bad thing detonates.
We have shoulder tackle. Shoulder tackle is better than anything drg or brd gets.

In most cases you'll prefer to walk out of AoE by yourself because of how Elusive Jump works. As long as your character hasn't landed you count as not moving from your starting point. So most of the time you get hit because the AoE lands before you land yourself. Even if visualy you were out of the area, for the game you're still accounted as being inside it. While you would have walked 2 yalms on your right/left you wouldn't have been hit.You may like DRGs elusive jump because it looks cool but in terms of practical use its faster to just walk out of the red. Definitly ..... not. Elusive Jump near a border kills you. The only special thing it does is that you don't have the long fall to your death, your character is somewhat teleported to the bottom to die. You just gain 2 seconds toward your deathBut you definitly fall, there's no invisible wall.
Well in a sense you're right in fact: you're effectively teleported to some other area of the arena: the bottom and you're dead![]()

Sorry but I guess people don't read before they post. I don't see how Shoulder Tackle would be effect in getting out of an AoE. Unless there was a mob close by that I could target and then use the Skill on. But I think walking out would be faster than targeting a new mob and hope they are in range to use the skill......
And why is everyone talking about Titan? There are other places in the game With AoEs. I've used both the jumps for BRD and DRG and never had issues. Guess you got to have fast reflexes to use them effectively.
