As a PLD, I firmly believe we need more offensive options. As a mitigation tank, we're very solid. So my list will focus less on mitigation and more on increasing the Depth of PLD's gameplay.
Synopsis: I made this in mind to keep balance with Warriors, so I tried to avoid any HP-regeneration abilities. The idea is to keep Paladin's simple gameplay, while adding another layer of depth between Sword Oath and Shield Oath.
52 GLA(Trait): Enhanced Shield Swipe - Shield Swipe now grants additional enmity (x3).
54 GLA: Vorpal Blade - Delivers an Attack with a potency of 150
Combo Action: Riot Blade
Combo Potency: 260
55 PLD: Brave Blade - Delivers a magic attack with a potency of 200(Not affected by GCD). Can only be used while Sword Oath is in effect.
Additional Effect: Vulnerability Up for a duration of 10s.
Cast Time: 5s; Recast: 30s
MP Cost: 40% of Base MP
(Note: Scales by Attack Power, similar to Second Wind)
56 GLA(Trait): Enhanced VIT IV - Self-Explanatory
58 GLA: Reprisal (Spellcast) - Damaged blocked is sent back to the offender.
MP Cost: 30% of Base MP
Duration: 15s; Recast: 2.5s
60 GLA(Trait): Enhanced Vorpal Blade - Vorpal Blade now grants an additional 10% to attack speed for 10s.
60 PLD: Shield of Faith - Delivers a Magic Attack with a potency of 170 to surrounding targets(Not affected by GCD). Can only be used while under Shield Oath effect.
Additional Effect: Grants additional enmity for 10s.
Cast Time: 2.5s Recast: 30s
MP Cost: 40% of Base MP
(Note: Scales by Attack Power, similar to Second Wind)

The most useful of all these abilities are definitely Enhanced Shield Swipe(Which needs some love) and Shield of Faith, but that's mostly because they bring the greatest use to a PLD under Shield Oath. The rest of these abilities are situationally useful to a Shield Oath PLD but a large boon to a Sword Oath PLD.
Fast Blade > Riot Blade > Vorpal Blade would be a Sword Oath PLD's main damage combo. Enhanced Vorpal Blade extends this further.
Brave Blade and Shield of Faith's theme is to deal damage through magic. I did this because we need more reason to use our MP besides Flash spam (Reprisal is used for the same reason). The high MP costs and cast times are to simply hinder PLDs from switching Oaths without planning on using Riot Blade to regain their MP.
