You were fully aware of what you were doing, it's not SE's responsibility to justify what you spent your time doing. This is WAY TO LATE to realise!
This number was for Behest in 1.x and never got changed there and you could only do 1 every 30 Minutes.
Sorry, but lowering it now just show me whoever does take care of Achievement System for FF XIV 1.x and/or ARR need to learn more about how long it takes.
There is absolutely no need to fix the 10,000 Guildhest wins - just do the lower lv ones which take like 5 min. max and you done one day - i did a total of 3500+ in 1.x which is ~300h which i used for nothing now?
Better fix the real long taking ones like from Grandcompany.
Or the 10,000 Local, Gathering and Batlle Leve.
Or the 10,000 HQ Mats gathered as Botanist and Miner where Fisher only need 3000?!
But it clearly show here you simply took them over from 1.x without looking what you changed in your own game!
Not to mention some 1.x Achievements (now Legacy) where we not got told they get removed!

it says "earn", not "have". Means u can spend it along the way. lol
But yeah, this would be nuts to complete, especially since SE using the 8 million gil quantity to combat RMT which sadly bans innocent players too. lol
I love how the people who 'achieved' stuff in 1.0 all apparently want the 'new' player (or the player who thought 'hell no' in 1.0, like myself) to do something 'difficult' just like them.
I'm sorry, but if you think you achieved something because you did something super boring for hours, weeks, months, just to get it 'done' (then what? wow. you did it. /slowclap) you really need to either get a super exciting real life - or tone your real life down a bit (my guess is that people who find these kind of 'achievements' good are the people who either have .nothing. to do in their every day life or they are so stressed in their day job that they need mindless stuff to 'cool off')
Without things like this, what are you going to do in 2 years when you're still playing, complain that there are no more achievements to work towards?
And if you don't like doing things like this, then why are you mad about not getting the achievement? Achievements mean absolutely NOTHING people, it's just a little pat on the back for doing something, if there is an achievement for something you don't wanna do, guess what, don't do it. It's not like achievements have any real purpose.

Are you certain that's true because I can do pass-in's for every gathering and crafting profession I have. Are we going to take a look at the Grand Company Supply and Provisioning achievement line as well? For the Order of The Twin Adders, they're called "The Sycamore Leaf" and "The Willow Leaf". Each of those require you to do 5,000 hand ins. Considering you can only do one per respective gathering/crafting class daily, the supply achievement will take you over 4 years to obtain... And that's just for one Grand Company.

I made a thread about this myself when I saw it. Jonth is correct, for the provisioning (gathering) quests at least. Handing it the requested item every day for all three gathering classes would take about 4.5 years to complete for only one of the Grand Companies. The supply (crafting) quests would take almost 2 years to finish because there are 7 quests to complete daily instead of 3. I'm hoping these were just carried over from v1.0 and will be adjusted; I like having achievements to work for and I'm all for long term goals but these are so devoid of inspiration.

Lol you need to relax, kid.I love how the people who 'achieved' stuff in 1.0 all apparently want the 'new' player (or the player who thought 'hell no' in 1.0, like myself) to do something 'difficult' just like them.

For real though...how mad are you right now?

Since when did achievements really mean anything? Who cares if you get all the achievements, most people in MMO's don't reach 100% completion. But for those that do it's something to set their sights on. I have no problem with the achievements as they stand. Who knows what mechanics will change in the future that might increase the speed of it.
What's worse is having a game in which you hit 100% completion within the first year. That would be even worse. This whole self gratification via achievements is a pointless discussion. I feel a sense of accomplishment the moment I get gear that I've worked towards or finished content, not through some arbitrary points that I get for completing X number of things.
