I haven't had any expectations for any major DRK changes since maybe 6.2, at this point it's probably not gonna happen until 7.0 if they do have any planned.
Like I said, the MP cost is what allows it to be on a shorter CD and give you more uptime on it which is not something to sneeze at, so there's definitely a good reason to make TBN cost 3000 MP....
I personally wouldn't care if they add a heal to it or not, but the mana cost is already justified by the short CD that TBN has, otherwise it would be 25 seconds like WAR/GNB. Especially this tier...

That's true but even then some jobs like SAM will still meld some SkS to a certain point depending on what they want, and even though the fastest tier is a slight damage loss it's still very viable....

A far better and more likely suggestion someone posted on Reddit is to give GNB a GCD that has a 5-second recast and generates a cartridge, which would be a great downtime tool.
For me DD as a concept is fine, especially since I think GNB in ShB was pretty solid and didn't need any crazy changes to it going into EW, just making it cost 2 cartridges seemed pointless....
I don't know how likely it would be if they did this in 7.0 but I wish they'd revert the number of max cartridges GNB can hold back down to 2 and make DD cost only 1, along with whatever potency...
