[suggestion to Devs] Moghouse

This is not pure my idea. I never played FFXI, but from opinions of others that I read it sounds like fun.

So the suggestion to dev is :

1) Add Moghouse = another kind of content

a) add / allow crafters to create and customize Moghouse (MG) parts, furniture, carpets, etc.
b) add / allow gatherers to find rare "Moghouse" material to later improvement
c) add 20/20 storage box for MG ( can be crafted ?) "for equip only", no other items can be stored
d) please feel free to post your opinions

I understand that battle fixes, ui improvements and content comes first. Anyway I hope this will be added to list next to chocobos ! :P

Moogles seem to be more important or perhaps running about of their free will. Not so much the slave race we had them as in FFXI. Also that's just copying FFXI again, like people want to do with the current jobs. So you can sit in your Moghouse for house, looking for party once they take away the viability of cross class abilities.

That's thinking to small anyways, if they do ever give us the long ago mentioned player housing, I'd want more of a Linkshell/guild housing that everyone could share and improve upon. Within said building you could add a hallway zone that leads to the other personalized rooms.

I want Company/Linkshell Housing but definitely not a Mog House.

i liked the moghouse idea as well but an extended housing with more options, even a complete part of a town, guild hall, own rooms for everyone in there. etc. etc. So you can do something BIG with your LS and have the individual rooms for yourself to go nuts with.

bigger storage abilites with furniture (crafted) or even your own crafting facility or rather an LS facility would be nice too .
That also gives the possibility of implementing like a huge guild facility hall where you can construct bigger projects.
Battlemachines for larger scale pve content (well i think that will be a dream but it could be great fun).

Or have a complete storyline that is for LS people, making an airship, weapons for the big war (that could be a much more involving thing then doin them for the lolcamps everywhere in the current world)... so the normal crafting and battleleves still remain, mainly used for soloplayers (as intended originally as far as i see it) and the other battle and crafting tasks (they get rewarded similar or like leves) are perhaps more group/ls and story driven and are a motivation for making LS better, and give them more purpose - ofc that has to be scaled depending on the people who are taking part in the tasks - like a guild hall task board where you can sign in for something -

i think these posts wont stop until SE give us some more answers... i would be ashamed as a developer seeing all these ideas instead of coming up with some decent ideas themselves (and communicate them properly)

Private companies were supposed to include private company housing so hopefully that is still a feature that will be implemented.

Yeah with all the gill we have you would think we would be able to afford to stay somewhere and not live on the hard cold streets of Ul'dah ; ;

When it comes it better have some stables that I can put my Chocobo in and a landing pad for my Airship ^^

Allow me to craft inside my mog house instead of using an empty ward. :D

Interesting point you bring up, however from doing all the Pugilist quests I feel relatively poor compared to some of the residents of Uldah :p

Because of the lore of Moogles in game I'd rather they let Gobs take over providing us housing. As illustrated here.

YES! Final Fantasy XI-2 needs these features put back into it.

Moghouses or something of the sort should definitely be added. It'll also give crafters something to craft that isn't directly combat related.

i would like my own airship too.

I cringe every time FFXI people get cool stuff like statue of Prishe for their moghouse while we get nothing!

I would love player housing with chocobo stables and airship dock.

LS quarters would be cool too but should never replace player housing.
LS housing would never feel personal...
Who would decide on the look of the LS rooms? Surely not every random member... but
if only the founder and LS mods can do it then it will be rather boring and unfair for all the new members who are yet to join.

Well what I had imagined with the Private Companies would be kind of LS housing so we would have a comunal house and then have our own private room within the house. So we could decorate the comunal area with trophies from our NM kills and furniture, as well as a comunal storage that we could dump things off like craft mats so other members could pick out what they need. Then we would have our private rooms to decorate and furnish as well as storage for our gear.

Also not forgetting our Private Chocobo stables and Private Airship landing pad. Now come on SE make it happen.

i would not want my house/room be hosted in a LS or private company unless i am the founder

SE says No, they have much more important stuff to fix. They need to add explosive text like the one when you have a light/full party when we start and complete leves, for a matter a fact for any action we take in-game I want explosive text for everything even just typing /sit give everyone around me within range explosive text that I've sat down.

Player housing would be fantastic. No, they won't be mog houses due to the lore. No, goblins aren't a substitute. :)

Or how about this, since moogles are busy this time around.. perhaps we could have our retainers manage our homes!

(and maybe somehow this could lead to the eradication of wards somewhere down the line lol.)

don't get me wrong I don't hate wards, but I do hate the retainers standing around like zombies.. and the random gesturing doesn't help much. maybe empty out the wards of retainers, move them to private residents.. and have it so if you're searching for something you could teleport to the sellers private residence. I don't know maybe that's too convoluted.

but, I definitely support private housing.

Yes I am impatient so what, I have been playing this game for nearly a year and I am still wondering where basic features are, is that such a big deal. In this topic I want to know what the deal is with player housing, is it still going to be as planned through Private Companies or have they scrapped that and are they going a different direction, if so what.

I just want some damn info, I waited patiently all week last week for Golden Week and forgave them for lack of any info for that, but it is over now and should be business as usual. I was hoping we would get some kind of info on something today be it the battle system, companies or something else but we have had nothing so far.

So yes it is a shame and I am very disappointed, I just want to know what the plan is, what direction they are taking and if what I have achieved so far in the game has been worthwhile or will it all be for nothing if the direction shifts.

Again, the only shame is that some people think that they are entitled to more information that what we're given (which is actually quite a lot above market standards).
You're not entitled to know the plans of a dev team before they are finalyzed and ready for public release. Hence, you have nothing to "forgive" them for (and just lol @ waiting "patiently"). It's that simple.

I'd much rather have "company" houses, which include rooms for company members. Each member has control over the aesthetics of their room alone, and the Company leader and deputies should have say in the choices for the main halls or the "Guild Chamber". This could also be where shared storage is applied, allowing item owners to loan their items to others or share a stockpile of common resources.

Actually for me, at the end of the month I will have been playing the game for a year, yes alpha to beta there were changes but beta to release I am still doing exactly the same things I was doing then so it is still the same game.

Yes I am not entitled to more info but given the current state of the game it would be wise for SE to keep the players informed, while you may be happy with how info is currently released, many including myself are not.

Edit - Also if you are not going to contribute anything to the actual thread why are you here? I know this and my previous post didn't but that was in defence to your pointless attack on my post in which I highlighted that some info on the subject had been posted on the JP Forums and my posts previous to that were constructive, meanwhile you have brought nothing but a pointless argument. You can reply to this if you like but I shall be ignoring you until you actually have something constructive to bring to this thread.

Alpha and beta don't constitute "playing the game". Beta (until open beta in september) was level limited and had only one of the cities (with only a part of the outside area accessible), so yeah, you're using a blatant hyperbole to make a false point.

Then you're not happy about the way basically any gaming company releases their information, because SE has been one of the most vocal in the last few months. Which obviously means that your standpoint is completely unrealistic and overly demanding.
Buying the box of a game doesn't make you a shareholder. The basic of the basics of professional behavioir in this field involves not sharing plans with the public until they are confirmed and finalyzed.

Good idea on retainers controlling the homes, I actually like that idea.
