No New Dev Trackers?

Cmon Dev teams give us more information!!!!! It has been awhile since we had a new Dev Tracker to give us just enough information about upcoming stuff to keep us coming back for more. Just saying!

Apparently, Golden Week ends tomorrow and everyone goes back to there regular work week on Monday

Its been 3 days since they posted

Yeah its been pretty quiet lately... I guess they posted too much in the last month and agreed to a lot of "changes" that seemed to far out in the future to even comment on.

I'm speaking mostly of Cross Server Dungeon Parties, the incredibly vague fix to Gridania (not likely), UI modding, etc etc. All these changes aren't anything that can be expected in the near future or even within the game's first year imo. I would love to eat those words though.

Edit: Then again... wasn't it a holiday in Japan?

It's because of Golden Week, I bet. Next week I bet we'll get the battle info from Ahkiko Matsui or whatever his name is.

Play WoW and try it out. It means people queue themselves for a dungeon as a specific role and the queue puts them in groups with other people regardless of server. Pretty efficient since you have a much larger pool of players to go with as opposed to just using the players on one server.

Well from the Japanese dev trackers I have seen they are getting responses they just aren't translating them. Also it has been more than 3 days since the last real Dev Tracker (Not counting the letter) that gave us any information the one of 5-03 wasn't even worthy of a Dev Tracker. Since I don't play the game at the moment and rely on Letters and Dev Trackers to get any source of info on the game to me it feels like it has been 2 weeks lol. Well I forgot about the Golden Week being this week I thought it was later on for some reason.

Also Abriael it has been 9 Days since a Dev Tracker that gave us any sort of information. I am not snapping my fingers and saying give me information, I am asking what's up with the lack of information and I forgot about Golden Week being this week so it a was a slight error on my side. (Not counting Letter from producer because they were around before Dev Trackers were and that crappy post on the 3rd)

It's been 9 days since we got a proper dev tracker post. From what I gathered ("for us it's business as usual"), they weren't taking the week off, but looks like they meant the people working on the actual game, which I'm totally fine with.

I'd debate how useful these dev trackers are at this point anyway, since they can't really reveal much.

Sorry Vedis you are wrong, it's okay to be wrong. I didn't say I want daily updates but it would be nice to get the dev posts translated every couples days, even though it was Golden Week so I understand that the translators probably had the week off. You say regardless of the post and that may be valid for you but it doesn't cut it for me or any others who like the Dev Tracker system and rely on it tidbit updates about the game. Why I don't count that one because the GM made a reply that had to do with the useless thread to begin with and it simply said this basically, " Noone wants to fight me".

Business will be back to normal soon and we will get what we want but it was a error on my part not knowing Golden Week was this week and certain people in SE would be not working. So I was wrong too about something. Overall it was a general question about where is the posts and translations?

What posts are you talking about? By that I mean, which ones they haven't translated?

I understand the business, the vacations, etc, but it would really go a long way for the community (especially since we have to wait until mid-JUNE) for stuff like daily bits of info.

It would be nice. Just sayin'.

Ok, it was a dev tracker, but obiousely it didn't have the kind of information the OP or any other people interested in the game are looking for (unless you want to know if Rukkirii was still alive).
Was it funny? Yes. Is it nice to have the GM reply this way to this kind of threads? Yes. Is it in any way related to the game? Definitely no, so the OP has a point.

Still the Golden Week just finished so i bet that's the reason for the silence and i hope we'll read something interesting in the next week.

Give people what they want and they expect you to continue giving. (Yoshi_P, these should be very strong and meaningful words for you. :O)

I think what the majority of the fanbase wants is just some kind of description of the new battle mechanics that way we know that our leveling was for no reason or not.

That's their job as a company to deal with it professionally. Just because some of our members are jerks is no excuse for not communicating more.

Funny enough people don't accept when yoshida/reps say they'll have info when it's ready, since logcially, we'll get the info when it's ready to be presented.

I can guarantee many will say "more detail" or "that's it?" while only a select few will actually be happy with a small tidbit like "The new battle system will feature auto attack implementation and skills are being reworked in preparation for the new job system."

Look at when they announced the "Materia" system, people still wanted more details even though it was just a tidbit people are calling for here. A lot of info comes from Yoshida himself in letters, that kind of takes the need out of "daily" updates because then people will complain the letters stop because they're passing out info daily instead of every x period in a long letter.

As someone else said, I liked the community so much better before XIV was released. We all want more info, but the fact XIV is in the middle of an overhaul speaks volumes about not getting a lot of info. We JUST got info about the upcoming patch next month, and throw in as someone said it's golden week (one of the FEW Japanese "holidays" compared to americans that have holidays every 10 days it seems.) there will be a lull in communication.

Well general information I like to hear from Dev Trackers is ones like the one on the 28th about Ranged attacks on all monsters and other tidbit information that isn't mentioned in the big letters and stuff like that. I am not really hunting for more information about recently announced big changes, I will be happy to read about them when the patch notes come out for that stuff. I just like to get a tidbit of information atleast once a week about things players are concerned about or would like to see implemented and I do understand it is based on the topics that get posted on here. Perhaps I should tell other people to post better questions and in a better format so we will likely get answers instead of most people posting about the same ol thing over and over.

Also I miss the spread sheets they used to give us with the stuff they are thinking about implementing the things that get approved or waiting to be approved.

Well you'll be happy to know that I talked to Yoshi-P himself and he said that he will update that spreadsheet and put it in his next letter. Also I told him to let the players know that he's going to update that thing in letter 9 so the players won't freak out over how long it's been since we seen it.

As some of you may know, it was Golden Week in Japan last week, which led to most our counterparts and the dev. team being off (it being a national holiday and all!). As you can no doubt see from the plethora of posts I made yesterday, we did get a lot of our responses coming in from all the reports made over that time (as we continued with our daily and weekly reports, etc.) It's my bad for not giving you guys the heads up about the "quiet" time, so I do want to apologize for that.

It is indeed business as usual again!

I will apoligize for the ignorance of some posters. We appreciate the job you do for us and I for one understand due to the GW holiday that you could not get the info you needed to inform us of what is going on. It's not like any of the developer's have a life to deal with as well right?

I'm bein' patient, but I'm also bitin' my nails off waiting for the next LFTP to release! D: I'm also glad that Japan, even in the aftermath of all of their tragedies, is able to come together and celebrate in a week-long holiday. Somethin' I think they need right now. That's more important than a few posts in which we won't be able to be given as much information as we'd like.

Note:Not trying to offend you, Bayohne, I just know you aren't able to give as much information yet because it's not all finalized. I appreciate how often you post for us and keep up with everything! Would you mind checking out this thread though? :D

It's got a wonderful idea in it: Triple Triad from FF8 - A lot of people were giving good feedback on having Triple Triad in the game. Think you could ask Yoshida about if they would implement it? I'd spend so many hours playing that :Q

Quick question, and I don't intend this in a "snarky" way at all, but the updates are trickling out at a very slow pace, and I know a lot of people are getting frustrated with the fact that we haven't even been dropped a tidbit of information regarding the battle system or UI changes. Honestly, we would take a fraction of information over no information at all... just don't go about it the same way you did the companies post a while ago which just confused people more than anything.

PLEASE give us something!

Aye, ever since Yoshida dropped the Job System bomb shell in one of the previous Letters, I've been expecting another one to release explaining what he meant and going even just a little bit into it. I'll understand if they ended up making changes to it, I'd just like to know where it's heading! :X

I was happy to hear "news of the new battle system is coming from the battle director soon" that is enough for me that means IT IS COMING, SOON!!!!! lol no seriously I don't understand this community constantly jumping on the dev's and rep's back when as stated multiple times, when they get the info (solidified) they will give it to us.. not give us partial information so that when the product does come out they don't have "BUT YOU SAID!?!?!?!?!".

Everyone let them do their job and when the info is ready we will get it, not any sooner... If you can't wait and it is driving you absolutely crazy that you accuse them of not doing their job and not telling you what you want "THAT VERY SECOND!" than go find something else to do there is so much more to do than be selfishly thinking you are more entitled than the rest of us and just because you repeatedly and sometimes rudely ask you will get it, welcome to the real world! You can't always get what you want!

I've been extremely patient, and I even stated in my post that I understood they had a holiday, and that things aren't solidified yet. But I can't handle a bomb shell like the hint at a Job System bein' throw on mah fayse and then not get any news on it for almost a month D: it raises my blood pressure!
