Make "Join party in progress" default.

As the title says, I feel this option should be toggled on by default. In lower level dungeons especially, it can be near impossible to find a replacement for someone who leaves. Tanks are practically impossible to find, DD's almost impossible, healers, so-so. No one checks "Join party in progress" because they want their experience points or whatever. The system punishes players who have someone bail on the party for whatever reason. It also punishes DD's who check it to speed up their queue(A sensible choice) by way of possibly joining a party thats missing more than just one person. This situation forces them to sit in a 3/4 group(Previously 2/4) waiting on a 4th person who probably wont come, while the time limit on the dungeon ticks away.


TL;DR I'am suggesting not even giving players the choice, just having them join either a fresh party or one missing a member all the time.

I am never queuing solo for dungeons in progress as long as the system doesn't make the group full in the progress.
I'm tired of joining groups with a tank or healer still missing. As long as 1 player joins at a time it is likely someone leaves and having the group incomplete for a loooong time.

Nothing like trying to join a group in progress as a healer to help out and ONLY get that instance where that one guy just AFK'd alone.

Experience points are not the reason people don't join in progress runs. It's avoided because 90% of the time you get in an instance without a tank or some other hopeless situation, which can be devastating to DPS in particular - it means you just wasted up to an hour in a queue.

I don't think it should be toggled by default, I'd rather it not be an option at all. Make it the default, period.

Far too often when I check that "join party already in progress" button I get put in groups that have 3/4 completed. If you are not familiar with this.. This means that 3/4 dungeon objectives have been completed. Well 3/4 means that 3 bosses have been downed, and the last objective is to click the exit dungeon button.

WHY WOULD IT EVEN PUT ME IN A COMPLETED DUNGEON IN THE FIRST PLACE.

That is the main reason I do not join groups in progress.. It is coded poorly, and hardly ever repairs the group. The other reason is because... As a healer, I will be replacing a healer who chose to leave his group for whatever reason. Chances are that healer had a good reason to leave the group, so me replacing that healer is a lesson in masochism.

TL: DR Stop asking SE to force good players into bad positions because of your own inadequacy.

This is fine for people that are only trying to accomplish some specific objective, but most people want to do a fresh run, whether it's for the XP, the loot or both. It should remain optional as it is now.

Take into consideration that healers often leave because they themselves, suck at their job, and can only be bothered to blame it on everyone else.

I feel that putting players that are playing the dungeon for the first time in fresh run only, and for players who have completed the dungeon for at least once, put them randomly in groups that are queuing (fresh or in progress) might be a more considerate system. Also eliminate the option and make the behavior above as default.

That's terrible, people afk in them after group breaks or have a troll or a number of other problems and then you are forcing them into that. I have joip'd instances with bugged enemies incompleteable with an afk dps

Like I posted in another thread this system needs to be reworked a lot more. We have a job check before even starting a new duty, but for a join in progress you only see how far they progress, and even then you still don't have the option to wait for next duty. Why not use that initial pop up and do something for those inside and out, giving them the pop up asking those inside "stay / leave" if person hits stay they can't leave for a set time period (5-10min). Then when a "join in progress" player comes they can see what's inside and have the choice join or wait till next. Maybe after a few "stay" for those inside they can get a high priority status for joining the same dungeon (that would also have automatic join in progress).

Most of the time when I choose join in progress and get into DF I'm in a party with 1 other person with 3 mins left.
