Limit break adjustment

There have been a number of threads arguing for brd to get a damage dealing LB. There is also a lack of imagination in giving SMN the BLM LB.
What would you guys suggest as alternatives to the present Lb for these two classes, or even for others.

For me I'd pick.

BRD - "sound the charge" - plays an inspiring charge which increases effectiveness of abilities and damage dealt by all party members by X amount for X length of time. ( alternatively perhaps reduces GCD and recasts by X amount for a certain length of time)
The thinking behind this is that BRD is a support class and should have a support rather than dps/healing LB.

SMN - Let them use a watered down version of the move the summon they happen to have out uses in the primal fight. mini hellfire etc kinda thing.

Nothing is worse than a 4 man party with a WHM, (tank), BRD, BRD.

While the WHM will never run out of MP the lack of any damage LB sucks.

Yes... i do think that the BRD LM should change.

They need to increase or add new LM... THIS IS TOO limited atm

BRD - since they are using a bow I'd suggest they have the same LB as in FFXI which used to do massive amounts of damage

SMN - again in FFXI they had something called "Astral Flow" which enabled their summoned pets to do their LB (a.k.a 2hr) using all available MP, it could be used more than once since the Astral Flow was active for 1 min and you only needed a certain samll amount of MP to repeat the attack.

I'd like to see those 2 come back :D

Personally the bard class is completely fucked who here used to hear bard and think some heals and crazy buffs? Cause I did, never thought a "bard" would be a dps.

how about adding mnk and drg too ? They share the same limit break too.
Why? It's already stated everywhere: limit break is based on ROLE, not JOB. mnk and drg are both melee dps, so they share the same limit, same with blm and smn being both caster dps.
The only class feeling out of place is bard, since they are mostly dps and being threated like a support. but still, there's not any other ranged "physical" ranged dps in the game yet

ARC having the healing LB isn't really a bad thing and it can come in handy if say the whole PT is wiping and only the RNG is alive with lvl 3 lb full, whole pt is back up. but yeah thats my 2 cents on that.

For SMN it would be cool if whatever pet they have out turned into it's full form and used it's ultimate move but thats alot of animation/coding ect. plus would look weird if your fighting a primal and then theres a 2nd one >.>

At level 50, SMNs pets can already use watered down versions of their primal ultimate abilities. That is what the level 50 Enkindle ability does.

the problem its on full party you need the LB3 mass ress as bard because of lock animation.

But of course...Archer/Bard Light party LB its a complete joke dear yoshi.

I'm not sure how other Bards play their characters, but I don't mind not having a dmg LB with Bard, because I am already out-damaging every other DPS in the group by far. I start firing off skills about 10-15 sec. after the tank gets agro and STILL sometimes pull hate unless I'm careful. Even while playing a song I'm still keeping up with any other DPS in the party. BRD is ridiculously strong. Ask anyone in my party that beat the Garuda fight for their first time if they don't like the BRD LB. It may not be good for every fight, but right before tornado phase in Garuda, when she does the blast clearing the rocks, keeps everyone alive just long enough for the healer to get his/her bearings and continue fighting.

SMN, however, could def use a make over. Maybe like Bahamut's blast? I guess that would be close to their LVL 2 LB anyway. MNK should have one of Sabin's sick combos from FFVI :D
