just use your mind a little

learn a crafting class

craft easy things that can be used to craft equipments ( not equipments itself ) like leathers from leatherworker and sell them

i have managed to gain over 70k gils while im still lv27 leatherworker within 3 days

lack of mats needed to craft them buy them from market you will get all mats with half the price of actual thing you will sell

also when making a price try to be cheapest or 2nd cheapest

also sell them by 10 for each transaction unless its pretty cheap and doesnt exceed 5000 gil in each transaction unless its a very rare mat

most ppl try to save gils so dont expect anyone to buy 99 from a mat that its average cost 200+ gils

That's right, it not who is the richest person or how much Gils you have in the game, but sooner or later you will run out of Gils. Why? Because there is hardly anyway to earn a huge amount of money in the game. If you arre just crafting and selling it on the Market Place, you are just taking money from players when selling it. So less money being introduce to the economy, so it does not matter if you have millions, it soon will be diminish.

Plural gil is gil not gils.

With using the market, its not a matter of gil coming into the economy, but taking it out via taxes while only money is exchanging hands. It is not generating gil. Your wealth goes up while another goes down. Also, even with the cumulative gil from FATEs and Leves and such, you also have to look at individual generation. You could have 500,000 gil come into the economy in moments, but if players only made 200 ea. then it won't really matter. But I guess you're not educated enough to understand or care as long as your own pockets are lined.

If people do not generate gil on an individual level to both cover their costs and earn a positive income, the prices shall eventually deflate as those buying your product will eventually not have enough gil to purchase your product. You will have to lower your prices often in order to sell. I can chalk up a small scale example if need be.

I have a lack of gils.

This is a huge problem when you're a fish like me.

You're right, the lack of an organ to allow me to breathe underwater isn't a serious problem because I circumvent that problem by using scuba equipment. On a serious note, unless you're on a legacy world, you can't really comment on the state of the economy because no where is near as bad as it is on these.

The situation has improved considerably with SE dropping the price of repairs and dark matter recently. But Yoshi still considers it a problem, though a less acute problem. He discussed in his recent interview the kinds of things they plan to do to further stabilize the economy. Now, where *is* that link?

craft and sell on AH = tax cut on top of price for buyer, and tax cut out of your profit = taking gil out of game. Yes, you increased your gil in your pocket, but this is not adding anything into the server economy.

More and more people are doing this and gil is being shifted and coming out of the economy faster than it enters, and with things like housing (huge gil sink) around the corner, repairs (better now), and lack of income once you hit 50, this will only in time prove to be problematic. SE clearly has a plan, and will adjust things as needed in the future, but simply saying i can make money selling basic things as a low level crafter, you can to does not help the problem.

The plural of gil is gil, not "gils."

Anyone in any of the FF games will say things like "You have 34566 gil." not "You have 34566 gils."

If I ever start running out of Gil, I'll just start picking up those repeatable crafting Levequests and HQing them (with great ease) to make ~3k per Leve, if not more. Once you're done leveling it's not like Levequests have any other purpose, and the amount of Gil I'd get daily from just that is more than what I currently spend daily, so....

why do people always say that it is easy to make gil just learn crafting but they don't seem to add in the fact that that gil comes from other players and isn't making new gil and in 3 months from now we are all going to be out of gil at least if u wasn't someone from 1.0 that had lots and lots of gil :/

Um. Where do you suppose those other players get that gil? Fates/leves/quests.

Player gets gil from fates/leves, player buys stuff on Market, that's how the economy works! Genius!

Thats great you made 70k but you made 70k from someone else, infact you should have made 74k but the game took 4k from you, and you know what will happen when you go spend your 70k? The game will take 5% away. Then that guy will be like woop I made 66k, and then he goes spends it and some other guy is like woop i made 62k and that guy goes spends it and another guy is like woop i made 58k and before you know it, 22k has been removed from your 70k profit that you think is "ok".

I can make 200-300k/day through specific tactics if that is all I did for 15hrs a day and that would be ok, but it would run out eventually as no new money is being poured in.

The issue is:
- There is more money being taken out of the economy than going into the economy. How long does it take for 1 transaction go to through taking 5% out, if you buy an item for 200k the seller gets 190k, so he lost 10k. How many fates/leves does he have to do to get that 10k back, will it be faster than the next time he goes sells stuff and loses another 5%?

Now you cant say "think about the thousands of people doing fates/leves" because there is also thousands of people buying stuff of the action house every day removing that currency.

I made about 100k from leves going 1-50 with my carpenter. I also spent 100k in material from the market board to make it happen.

People have to understand that some of us play this game for the raiding and pvp and not for crafting and gathering. And even though they made repairs a bit cheaper doesn't help the situation much, it'd just make the road to bankruptcy a bit longer.

I'm hoping that dailies will be the answer to the income problem, and if it isn't then I can't see things turning out so good for those that don't like gathering/crafting.

Blame the French translator of this game who did put gils instead of gil. >.<

If you have not understood by now what people are complaining about, either you are not using your mind and reading what everyone has bought forward, or you are not the type of person who understands the concept of economics.

I will give you a little hint, just because we are able to make SOME gil via leaves and FATE grinding, does not mean the Economy is fixed, Yoshi P agrees and will be doing more soon.

So you don't wan't to play a class whose sole purpose is to make money, but you still want to make money? Let me guess, you plan to get a BS in social sciences and women's studies and be a millionaire as well? Battle classes are meant to be great adventurers, small money makers. Merchant classes are meant to be small adventures, great money makers.

How on earth do these threads keep popping up? Every time the same arguments are repeated over and over and yet they never stop coming...

In any case, if you're really worried that the economy is going to bankrupt itself, better start saving that gil now in a sock under the mattress in your inn room. Spending it only results in the server taking even more gil out of circulation - the more you spend, the more you contribute to the inevitable Apocalypse!

Crafting in this game does not interest me one bit and besides as more people level them up, the more prices will drop.

Also worth mentioning, that gill farming gather bots are taking over......GOOD luck competing with those.

Anyways, all I do is run dungeons and heal people which I love greatly but I never ever make enough to even pay for repairs; every single run I do....even if I do not die....I lose gil. This does not even factor in buying potions and or consumables which is even more lost gil.

That's just not right imo. Should be able to run a dungeon and make a bit of money instead of losing it.

Actually VERY little gil comes from Fates/leves, most of the gil in the econemy comes from the ~300k gil you get from quest rewards on your first pass to 50. One may argue that Fate/leve help supplement the losses from AH transactions and repairs (but I would say Tax on transaction and repairs is taking more out) and once the mass influx of fresh characters to bring that 300k stops, add in more gil sinks such as housing, and without further changes to the income/gil sinks we will be in trouble.
