Insane amounts of lag..

From what I have gathered this is only with Duty Finder. I can play on the server fine from what I gathered but as soon as I get in a dungeon I just lag to all hell, no one walks they just teleport and I'm dead before AoE even goes off. Need I add in the massive amount of delay with cutscenes?

AFAIK it's not my ISP, as I've already contacted them.. Twice. It started at like 4am Australian time and it's still going on as it's 1pm.
Such a grand birthday present, thanks SE. :) - The one day I can actually sit back and play without distraction is the day it decides to mass-lag.

I'm getting it on Behemoth server constantly, havn't tried duty finders. Tried resetting my router etc, clearly is on square enix's end. I'm Australian too, all other video games work fine, no lag on them.

The technical problems with this game are starting to become like a consistant thing.

yeah this is definitely not just a df problem for me, it started when i logged in this morning (aussie time) and has got increasingly worse through out the day, game is basically unplayable for me now.

Yeah, I just went and tried other things and just had the usual crappy Australian lag; this is like lag on lag.
It's also appearing on PvE now, I guess I jinxed myself. :/

I'm also from Oz (Sydney). Didn't have any lag at all last night, but after logging in earlier this morning it's been a nightmare D: I play on Mateus (NA).

Logged onto a character I have on Tonberry and no rubberbanding or lag in sight.

Running a tracert with the NA server showed something fishy going on in Montreal. Not surprised since from what I've read up on other threads many Canadians are experiencing pretty bad lag as well.

I'm with Telstra for reference :)

They had maintaince last night, it's prob on square enix's end.

No, I'm saying it probably caused it.

by what i can see by ppl reporting problem seems the problem is only occuring on the na/eu datacenters not sure why square hasnt said anything about it

Same thing is happening with me and I've already done all of the troubleshooting.

I have never had lag, even in beta and p4 and EA and up until tonight.. I finally got lag which made it very choppy in game.. Running wasn't smooth as it was and it felt liked I was skipping around the world. It didn't look to pretty. I thought it was me so I tried a ton of changes and even on the lowest graphic settings it still happened.

This happened in another MMO that I was a developer on. The goal was to reduce the stress on the packet server by adding a sleep on a certain thread on it. It made everything skip a bit instead of being smooth.. I removed that code and all was well after that.

Not sure what the issue is atm with the servers but I hope it doesn't stay this way very long. Thankfully I have not gone beyond my 30days free time and can move back to my last MMO (the secret world which doesn't have these issues) if necessary..

Love the game and spending time in it. Would hate to have to leave but I will as perhaps others may do as well if they don't speak up on this.

I'm not going to read everything else has replied because it bends my opinions so I'm going to post with a fresh opinion whether it has been regarded or not. Ffxiv is 2 months in. Give a 6 months. Its an MMO. They can't every single damn thing right off the bat. Be grateful that they are able to even work and fix this technology we have. Don't be complacent . Worldwide online gaming I'm sure cannot be easy to manage

We're not exactly complaining, we're posting the issue we're having in the correct section. I know that every online game when released tends to have issues. But it's the release of a game that means everything, if it's 2 months in and people are still getting issues then you really need to address this, and more to the point that the Japan servers are fine and they get taken down to be fixed?

On a last note if you're not going to read what people have to say please don't input your opinion, more-so when that's just blindposting and refusing to read what others have said.. IE spam.

i wish this would get fixed asap.

It's slowly getting better on Phoenix; I have been able to do 2 CM runs with little to no lag.
