Well if any event had to be dull and simple I'm glad its this one. Not that my gal doesn't look great in her swimsuit, heh, but I'd rather they save the good stuff for the official holidays.

Now if all of the events start turning out as simplistic as this one, then yeah that would be rather annoying.

Well to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if this one was kept simple because of all the connection and server issues. Not that I'm saying I wouldn't like more in depth events, but it's possible.

Just so long as I don't have to chase down NPCs to trade cookies in the hopes I get gear and not a costume for the 100th time. :p

Lol you should have seen the ffxiv 1.0 events. They were horrible. All related to the same modeled bell.

But yeah...I excuse this one because the game just came out and there was alot of problems...and the bikinis were released to appease fans. However the future events better be worlds better.

FFXI is around 10 years old now and had worlds better events. Even simple ones. Omg the samurai wooden katana events? Loved them!

They will probably have a fate where you can get santa gear fighting snowman instead of bombs for ice ash or something.

Also it's not even 1 month after launch, and while many people with new characters have multiple 50s, the majority of the population isn't there yet, so it's good to keep this one simple.

Not that I'm saying they purposefully kept this one simple...haha.

This event looks pretty much like the mooncake/lantern festival here in Asia though. ....... I could be wrong .

All I ask is that the Christmas event be as grand as The Feast of Winter Veil!

Given how recent this game has been released, and dealing with all the server issues, I was even surprised that we even get a summer event. So, really, you expected a large summer event despite how late it is into the summer?
