Server Transfer Mid September Delayed?

Now 20th of Sep and still noting about this i've been looking around the forums and can't find no information on this at all.

Just looking to no if a dev could give us more information on this if its even still coming or when it coming because it is now pasting by mid September and its not here.

Anyone even got any information on this would be grateful.

Check out the Live Letters tomorrow and Sunday at TGS. They probably will announce it after TGS (Yoshida has been swamped travelling since Launch. After TGS he will finally have downtime to do stuff)

Well in the letter he addressed how server transfers were part of the second step that he wanted to bring around the time they resumed digital sales, I would say we are very close. so maybe only slightly delayed., though not direct he did hint at a delay in his letter, as they were not done with part 1 yet. so its any day now. no need to panic.

The two statements do not contradict each other, the Sept. 12th statement is about an announcement, not the transfers themselves, coming soon. That said, the Mogstation and Lodestone both have a single sentence about World Transfers starting mid-Sept. Since the 1st is the beginning and the 30th the last day, Yoshi can say that 2-29th is in the middle- so again they could happen on the 29th and the sentence on the sites would be true.

The truth is: We just don't know yet, but hopefully will soon.

Well, mid-september. They don't tell which year. Soooo, it could be mid-september 2014, 2015, who knows?

You have to keep in mind that this is SE's idea of mid september not what everyone else would consider mid month. For them mid month is like the last 5 days of the month. If they say end of the month they mean the last day or start of the following month. If they say early in the month that means after the 15th. This is how SE always is when they use vague terms like early, mid, late.

It's great and all to be semantic about things when it really doesn't matter, but honestly, if someone says they're going to do something "the middle of such-and-such month", they NEVER actually mean the 2nd or the 29th. They mean what they say, nor do they mean to say something that can be interpreted so broadly and obtuse.

Oh, don't get me wrong- I believe mid month is 11-20 (basically the middle third). But having dealt with Yoshi-time in Version 1, I know he often said, "mid-month" and it would happen in the last week of the month. People would defend him with the whole,"2-29 is in the middle of the last and first day of the month so Yoshi didn't lie", thing. It was tiring but meh. So yes I agree with you, just saying what the WKs will charge in to say to defend him. BTW- he announced just today that it will be October :) I am sure some WK will explain to us how that is still mid-Sept.

October may be too late for a lot of us. I don't personally plan to leave this game but a lot of my friends are frustrated and once they find out that its been delayed to OCT, it is going to be very hard for me to convince them to stay and if they leave, myself and others will likely follow.

I don't mean this as a threat but I really think that SE should have had the "friends" factor on priority.

Unfortunately this has been a key issue with a lot of people, due to the serious issues the game had at launch. I am going to play regardless, but if I knew the transfers would be delayed until some unknown time in Oct, I would have just re rolled on the server my friends were on instead of working on my launch guy.

The problem I have isn't the delay, its the fact SE has been parroting the mid Sep thing officially, while slowly leaking out that it will be delayed via unofficial channels (like interviews). If there is a issue, man up, announce the delay and let the players deal with it. This is not a good way to treat the customer.

kinda wish he would post something on the lodestone just to let us know for sure what's going on.

I agree when I first started I only had access to three worlds, to roll a character on. By the time the server my friends are on was open for character creation i was in my mid twenties.
Only reason I didn't re-roll was because I was expecting to transfer there by now

I'm just worried that I will be saying that exact same thing in November.

I have been very patient with this game thus far, because I have enjoyed playing it. But I never intended to stay on my current server. I just made a character there because I was herded there by the Character creation restrictions. By the time the restrictions were lifted I had way too much time invested in my character to just start over so I decided to continue being patient. Sadly my patience is running very thin.

This game is great but it's only worth playing if you have a good FC or group of friends to play with. I have a FC on a different server, I have friends on different servers, none of which matters because I'm still waiting for server transfers to start so I can stop playing solo. While I understand that there were unforeseen complications at launch, those complications should have shifted transfers in the priority list of things to do. Very disappointed with this issue taking so long.

Ive been dying for the server transfers. The game is great but I cant play with any friends and had a couple friends wait lately for the only time in the day to create new characters which this has helped play together but only those new to the game others made progress in other servers and simply dont want to start again that would be pretty unfair. Some others are legacy that same implies lost progress. Playin with friends is the most important thing for a whole lot of ppl I feel and no server transfers yet is very upsetting after it was already promised by now.
