Currently all the quest icons are a black exclamation mark within a white bubble/cloud.
It is impossible to progress the main storyline quests or distinguish them from regular side-quest icons (Yes, you can use your journal to tell if it's a main-quest, but if you are only accepting side quests to do, it gets rather annoying).
Request for the main story-quests' cloud/bubble color to be colored different (green, blue, whatever) or a better way to distinguish quest-types.

Agreed, a different colour for guild task quests would be nice to.
I thought it was overly simplified as is. Make them any more obvious and my pet vegetable could progress the storylines!

I only meant that it is visually impossible to progress the main story without looking at the journal. Which, btw, is VERY easy to progress compared to FF11. You don't even need to look it up outside the game, which is nice.Quote:

They should remove the icons for guild tasks. If they're there all the time, what's the point? Yesterday, I started heading toward one thinking it was a sidequest before realizing it was a guild task.
Oooh, thats a great idea. Doesn't seem to difficult to change the color of a bubble!

Surprised people who were shouting to remove the marks in general haven't posted here yet. In any case you have to ask yourself when is enough, enough? It's a simple question.
I'm not saying adding this to the game will harm the game in anyway but, if you continue to add things that make it just slightly easier here and there. What game do you think you'll be playing at the end. It'll be a completely mindless one when you take into account all you added to make it easier.
Either way I'm not against this or for it. I find it decently easy enough as is but that's me. I'm not in any position where I can tell others 'how' to play. Whats easy for me might not be for others so they'll argue my view basically. So w/e happens, happens. Just thought I'd waste my time posting.
