If you read the Lodestone at all. They said this could happen after a Mait whenever is bum rushing the servers.

pretty sure they are opening server space gradually, as they always have after updates. If its still there in 2h's then yea, they fucked up again.

What the hell did they break this time...

Having it too. Ugh. Getting tired of all the login/out issues.

I'm not raging, just saying I am disappointed. We're in 2013, and most of the other MMOs out there (who have/had more subbers than FFXIV will ever have) never had that kind of issues.

lol everytime the severs come up its going to be 30-60min till at full compasity and chance for 1017, they have said this so many times..

All the servers were offline, and when they come back on, everyone tries to log on at the same time. They limit logons at those times to prevent the lobby server from crashing. That's what the error code means and this has all been explained.

I made the mistake of logging off because I needed to afk for 10 minutes after getting on after Maintenance.

No, we'll never really be over with it. Because they can't figure out how to handle so many players properly. /sigh

TWC drops me and I get stuck doing what I did during EA.... 0 0 0 0 0 0 0. I daydream about the day they fix this. And GoggleFiber arriving beginning of next year. >_<

The thing is, why dont they just leave us at Queue instead of kicking us right off the bat?
I'd rather have a nice numbers on my Queue numbers, instead of repeatedly spamming character select screen

Because the que is to get into the world server. When you see a que you are already in the lobby server. When you see the error code it is because they have closed the lobby server to prevent it from crashing. If you can't get into the lobby server you can't get a que.

Then why do other MMO's not seem to have this issue?
Not trying to mock Square or anything, just wondering why it's different.
