I urge you to read through this game watch interview that our intrepid forum goer and all round awesome guy Reinheart Valentine translated for us. I for one applaud and praise his efforts and don't want them to go unnoticed.

This interview in particular, while it starts off slow talking about server issue stuff, really picks up with new information given on many common questions and gripes I see on the forums.

Things like Gil generation being tweaked, bonuses for doing dungeon content, MVP system in dungeons that will give the MVP a bonus (instead of a kick feature), The future of the smartphone app, Crystal tower and Bahamut content info, Gil sellers and how they are combating them, a feature showing what roles are in short supply and providing bonuses to people filling those roles, Duty finder and what its for, New system for doing non Duty Finder content, and much much more!

Thanks for the bump, and thanks for the addition on my White Knight post. It was a kind of abbreviated version of a long post I made detailing everything they went through making this game. Like the worst Tsunami and Nuclear disaster in decades, That is one thing that really seems to be forgotten.

I agree that my favorite part is adding the bonuses to Duty Finder. I think it's a great idea and will hopefully result in some of the nicer, more helpful players joining up more often. Yay to anything that increases the positive experiences in Duty Finder. Also the MVP system, I like that! It's a nice way to tell someone you've appreciated their help, and give them tangible rewards for it.

Also, one part that really struck me was this:

"I was thinking I was going to be able to go back to Haijin after launch but...... We have had the major congestion, so I have been with sticking with the server deciding on investments to be made right away. As you know servers are basically a PC, so if the order timing is delayed it will delay others. At that time I would need to make a costly decision, so server team and I stayed over 24 hours. Other than that, I don’t think it’s right for me to be playing when so many players are out there saying they can’t."

Yeah, at the top level, this may be a corporation, but we tend to forget that the individual employees are real people. Here, Yoshi is showing us that not only is he a real person, but that he does care for and has consideration for the players.

Great interview, and great work from Reinheart.

Yoshi never disappoints with his vision, I really like the way he is planning on improving the duty finder.

My only hope is that people who do the random matching aren't rude to people who are still leveling. I hope the MVP vote counter-acts this (and I've been wanting something like this in game for a long time anyway!).

Quite a bit to look forward to on the first patch beyond just additional content.

Hrmmm, very interesting indeed, choosing to play primarily as a PLD excites me even more now!

I really liked that quote too. Shows his respect for what he's trying to accomplish. Its great that Reinheart translated this but it needs to be more widly seen by the player base, especially the vocal people on the forums.

Thanks for the translation Reinheart, was a really good read. Sounds like there is a lot to look forward to with the 2.1 patch.

It's impressive how persistent the RMT are, with all the filtering the dev team is doing. But at least they're staying on top of the problem.
