Puppetmaster Official Request

This is just a request for the best class/job in FFXI to cross over to FFXIV.

I loved the job, the level of customization required, the depth of playing the class/job,
was awesome. It's not a job for everyone, since it's not a simple hit everything job like warrior.

I love deep games and playing a class like Puppetmaster would bring FFXIV to the spot light for me. I played FFXI for 6 years and loved every minute of it and would love to bring that emotion and joy to FFXIV.

The motions are already set in game for the job as pugilist and monk are there and I guess Goldsmithing would play a role as the head of Goldsmithing guild is a Puppetmaster. So i'm guessing it would be easy to implement, automatons are already in-game as well, so why not make it happen?

I totally agree if it had the same range of parts and attachments that the XI auto had.

Im indifferent to the puppet master class, but just wanted to point out that just because puppet non-combat minions exist doesn't mean it's going to be an easy implementation. That's like saying 'hey SE, add air combat, there are things with wings in game already so it should be easy to implement. "

With that said though, I hope someday you get your puppet master class. I'm personally hoping for SAM.

I have said it before and I'll say it again Goldsmith 30 + Pugilist 15 = Puppetmaster. You know it makes sense SE.

Goldsmith 15 maybe, but goldsmith 30 would be idiotic... you want people to level all the way to 50 via crafting THEN start learning how to use their pet in combat along with all their melee abilities? Though having a crafter sub is going to leave you with a lot less cross class abilities than your average class. I couldn't care less if they implement it but I sure hope they work on improving pet ai's before they do.

I think it is going to be a very long time before PUP gets here but I realy hope they do it. Will need to let the game go for a long time to see what classes need to be rebalanced and such, PUP has a lot to it and will need to know how to fine tune its abilities before letting us play it. If they do, it will be the only class I ever play :)

Puppet Master was in Final Fantasy VII (Reeve/Cait Sith/Moogle) was a three tier puppet master. Reeve controlled Cait Sith who controlled the moogle he rode. L2FF.

Puppetmaster is at the very bottom of the list of Jobs I want to see next. :(

The only one of the pet classes I really did want to see in xiv. But since we have both SMN and SCH I think another pet class will be fairly low on the priority list. I also think PUP will unfortunately be lower on the list than BST.
I think we'll see one of THF/NIN next, with musketeer/COR and then RDM being the next additions possibly also a third tanking class. After that it's probably a matter of who wins the popularity contest, my bet would be on SAM or DRK.

Puppetmaster in XI was a very fun job. But this. I'd rather see Ninja, Samurai, Dark Knight, Red Mage, Blue Mage and probably some others I can't think of right now first.

Also I really can't see such a complex job not losing something in a modern MMO. It would probably just be Puppetmaster in name. :\
