So... When Will I Actually Get To Play With My Friends?

I'm sure I'm not the only one having this problem.

Currently due to server problems from launch, I have friends scattered across multiple worlds awaiting for world transfers to open up so they can get on my world and we can play this game together.

I have an FC with 150 people on Tonberry, all my friends have played to level 50 since Tonberry was too full and character creation was 'blocked'.

It is currently mid-September as the SE Mog Station says World Transfers are expected to be implemented.

Can we please have an update on how this is going to work and when this is going to be in place.

Heh. Different worlds? BISH. I'm on a different region. Them apples seem bigger from this side of the fence.

Hopefully, they would also let me transfer.

Me and my mates are playing the same game, on different worlds, it's like a long distance relationship.
It's actually pathetic that I can't play a game with my mates without having to start a new character and start from scratch atm.

start new characters, if they are really friends you wanna play with so bad it wouldn't matter.

If someone can tell me how to do unblock it, I'd gladly do it.

I had a r/l friend of mine role on a diff server till he could finally come to the server I'm on, we caught wind that there would be transfers, though what I'm wondering on is will there be some free transfers going on? or will we have to pay for their problem just so we can play like intended?

Also please don't use the "he should of waited, or make a new character" argument, because regardless of what, it shouldn't of been our problem to begin with.

Yeah they have been pretty quiet on this. Be nice to find out.

I am in the same boat as the OP. Would also like to know.

I find it bizarre they have a fully functioning cross-server system in place and don't allow you to group with friends on other worlds.

This really needs to happen soon.

Its pretty sad that we have to "game the system" to get people on the same server. At this point rerolling would just be an annoyance that I am not sure too many people would care to do.

Its a shame that game is good but what's the point if you cant reliably coordinate with friends to get on the same server.

They will end up losing people due to this in the long run.

Its a shame because losing people to not being able to play together is silly.

Looking forward for the world transfer as well.
I really hope this 2-3 months is wrong, it was said in his last news that it would be very soon, and very soon is not 2-3 months.

There is no firm date. The article above was from over 2 weeks ago, Yoshi made a post last week saying:

Very near future is not specific. He also said announcement, not necessarily the commencing of, so all this means that yes, transfers could happen this month- or as the article said, possibly in Nov/Dec. The longer they wait, the more some people will give up and move on. It is on their radar, they are working on as Yoshi said in his post, but when it will happen has yet to be set.

In MOG station it says mid September so not sure why its not ready yet:

If you find yourself unable to play with friends because they're on a different World, please consider using our World transfer service.
* World transfer service is scheduled to begin mid-September. An announcement will be made on The Lodestone at that time.

What's sad is that they already have a free transfer system in place that they have used twice before, most recently just before release to allow legacy players to move servers.

Why not give us free transfers using the system they already have?

That system did not allow you to move to full servers, but people could move off full servers making space for others.
