Legacy Price vs. Non-Legacy Price

I was comparing the FAQ's information against the Legacy prices when setting up my subscription today. For the same service, it's five dollars more per month without Legacy, for all matching durations. That's pretty substantial.

I was hoping for longer durations the fees would scale down to matching the Legacy price. Seems rather cruel, don't you think? I feel compassion towards all the new subscribers.

Its not $5 more. Its $5 less. When I buy something for full price and you buy it on discount, you get it for cheaper. i didn't have to pay extra. If $14.99 wasn't the industry standard MMO subscription I could somewhat under stand all the "Why are we paying more?" arguments.

Entry is $13? I thought Entry was $10 like it was in 1.0. Wow... hmm, that is pretty mean.

news to me, when they said $10/mo forever, I took them at their word- a fixed rate.

Actually, Legacy DO get bulk discounts. At least, that's what my subscription fee tells me, I'm Legacy and I purchased the 180 day plan, lists my monthly fee at what she stated in her post.

If you ask me, Entry is too expensive. At most it should have been $11, $10 being ideal (as that's how much it was in 1.0). I mean, what do you get with Entry? 1 character. Not 1 per X servers, 1. One character to make your name in the game. Meh, terrible deal, may as well go with Standard service.

Why attempt raise awareness to matters that don't necessarily involve the individual? We're not talking about saving lives, nor are we talking about some sort of detrimental global issue here. We're talking about subscription rates for a video game. It sounds more like you're just trying to rally negativity towards matters that don't really concern you. But you really should learn a little about business, marketing, and financial management before spouting what you perceive to be "fair" in this day and age.

I'm sure you've seen this sort of marketing practice done before, heck, probably in your daily life. Just look at sizing at food establishments and such. $1.00 for a small cup of coffee, $1.15 for a medium, $1.25 for a large (which is essentially 2x larger than the small), etc. The cheapest option is essentially the less worthwhile (biggest ripoff). People just have their own reasons for going that route.
