So I've been travelling around The coerthas highlands and I've noticed that Every single Spawn for those black sheep (Ornery Karakuls) or whatever they're called have bots just farming them all day, Here's the problem...
These sheep are a part of the storyline because you need to kill a set amount to proceed but players can't because you have whole parties of 8 camping at each spawn useing macros to use their skills while their afk doing whatever. This goes on for hours and now
it's been a day so far and people are still botting.
This is also a "Get rich quick" Scheme as the fleece the mob gives you are worth a decent amount of gil. I believe this needs to be fixed as it's an exploit, I mean seriously bots at every spawn? I bet you if you go to the coerthas highlands you will see people just constantly farming.

Been happening since launch and I've reported it countless times through the Support Desk. Weeks ago I could easily out claim their slow programs, however I'm sure from legit players like myself out claiming them, they have improved their tools.

yep they stand in place usually on arc/bard or thm and just spam all damn day long and SE doesnt give a shit if u report them. if they claim 2 mobs open a trade window w/ them if they got a shitty bot script it will cause them to stop attacking and the mobs will eventually kill them. another thing is A LOT of these bots are legit players too. There is a ls on hyperion "Convinction" which ive witnessed 3 botters so far botting sheeps in Highlands the latest toons name was Dio's Boobs and a prior one Boobarella..something. a player came by and opened a trade window w/ the bot and low and behold it stood there for 15mins while 3 sheep beat it to death. i went back later that night and the bot was still there DEAD. WOW thats a real player killing sheep right? Another bot on hyperion is Mingren Zhihua near dragonhead

You do know that there is no such thing as mob tagging in this game...you can do enough dmg to a mob and it would still count for xp and quest.

I saw this when I had to do the sheep quest too. Now I wanna go back and try the death-by-trades-and-sheep thing, just for lols.

To kill these bots, run straight up to them and trade them. They stop attacking and they get killed. Hope this helps.

Sounds like I would be trying to find friendly people to help me swarm the area then if botting nightmare. That is horrible and I do like macros but SE seems to be very slow and uninformed on how to handle this in MMOs. Knew a kid who was using scripts in FFXI and it was months before he finally got banned. If I had been playing then I would have reported him myself. I know it would be abused so can't have it but this is where I wish there were community tools to handle this sort of thing along with gil spammers.

I had a bot tank for Infrit initial story fight today, was a nightmare trying to take it out, guy was just moving in same pattern and not taking any agro.

I do have a question. If people go in as a group and has binds and sleeps with the aqua push or whatever then what happens to the bots if the mobs are pushed away and bound? I just don't know why the bots should be faster than humans. I might not have a macro but I have done pretty well with some classes having instant damage abilities and standing at the spawn point with tab and instant so I could get some credit in certain FATEs where others seem to kill mobs before I can do damage. Asking to learn if I can even try and accomplish anything there.
