Subscription options [EU]

So even though ultimatepay has a warning that states there might be extra fees, there were none.
Turns out I could just use paypal/ideal and I was being paranoid while running for the hills.

So I'm not really happy at the moment,

So I needed to pay for subscription today, no biggy I can do that.
But the issue is, I can't really. Well I can, but then I'd screw myself over financially.
Allow me to explain:
The options for payment are credit/debit, Crysta, or game cards.
I have a debit card, and I'm Dutch (kinda important here /(edit) So it's a little more localized)
So I chose credit/debit.
Surprise, only credit cards supported or no debit card I use at least.
So then to Crysta, but that supports the same cards (mine not included) or some external service, for which I'd need to pay extra.

So my options are: Find a store that sells game cards (not that easy around here)
pay extra to get the same.
or get a credit card.

In Netherlands (edited down from europe) credit cards aren't really a thing. People only use them for bigger purchases, we tend to use debit cards for everything else.

What irks me here is that the payment options are well, old.
There's no PayPal, no Ideal (I can understand that, as it's only dutch)
But there's no easy way to actually pay with your debit card here.

I personally refuse to pay extra, to get the same just because my payment options aren't supported when they're quite globally acceptable (PayPal for example)

So, I'll probably not be playing till Dutch debit cards are supported, or PayPal.

I have a Maestro Debit Card.
(just about all banks here issue maestro cards)

Also I'm not getting a credit card, just because of a game.
(there's no other reason for me to get one)

Every VISA or Mastercard IS a credit card. I'm French and everyone has a visa, I don't even know if something else exists here.

Anyway, that has nothing to do with your card, it's SE's fault. Thousands of people can't pay. It's mindblowing.

Since you mention dutch, a dutch friend found time cards somewhere and got his veteran rewards before me...

My Amazon page says they will deliver the cards. I don't want to wait 3 days for a delivery of a god damn CD KEY (plus I want 90 days, and cards are only 60 days).

There are sites that will email you a key immediatly though. But I don't trust them.

I don't trust most sites either, so your option then is that someone else can tell you about a reputable place to get the time card codes.
Or that someone you trust and trusts you, lets you use their credit card to pay for a subscription.

I realize that's not an optimal solution, so I'm just trying to give some options.

Edit:
If you want 90 days only for the veteran rewards, european time cards give time right away, so 2x60 would give the 90day veteran reward as soon as registered.

There are several sites where you use your debit card to buy the cards and they will send the key through email ( i myself use offgamers , been using it for about 7 years now)

They are already supported, VISA and Mastercard (which is a debit card too! not just credit ha)

You probably have p1ss poor credit rating or too young to own a visa/mastercard debit card thats why. Go walk into Game and buy a game card for 3 months div

For us Dutchies that is not an option, for a creditcard here you need to be 18 years or older and a lot of us don't even want one or worse, are inelligible for one reason or another.

Btw Sotter,
While your suggestion is valid, those cards will not be shipped outside of the UK. ;)
Aside from that, Visa and Mastercards aren't issued as Debit cards over here, only as credit cards.

Dunk €66 on it every 6 months and you're golden, although I'm pretty sure you'll be off cheaper getting a real CC through your bank and putting that away.
I have a CC through ING myself, which is included in my anual fee. All I pay extra on that is the interest for the stuff I spend money on.
But then again, I do travel a lot, so I have more than one reason to own an actual creditcard.

So am I, I just paid with my VISA DEBIT card, which I've also been using to pay my FFXI subs for a long time now.

ive been trying to pay with my visa debit card for a week now no luck cards fine just spent 900 quid on pc with it, also tried the 8 other option including my paypal. nothing error 401 or 601 and paypal declined. so im stumped. worked fine on 1.0 cant add crysta nothing sending tickets now getting boring.

well im from uk currently playing in greece so i dunno if thats screwing things up but i bought crysta here on same card last yr so i dunno. only viable option i have seen is amazon game card 25 pounds for 60 days inc delivery.sucks when you want too pay for 180 days and be done with ti.

so it appears Credit card work? visa debit cards dont! hmm still doesnt explain paypal thats 3rd party money comes out of the bank.

I think it's more the dutch that are outdated by not using credit cards yet

I have a prepay mastercard from moneybookers.com/skrill.com it's 10eur/year and they do ship it to anywhere. So far haven't found a place that wouldn't accept it. And it just takes from my moneybookers/skrill account.

Hello my dutch friend , I'm here to help you out abit.
Although I'm unsure if you knew but the gamecards are available in various stores already.
Since I bought a physical version of the game I got 30 days of free playtime.
But back on subject, yes there allot of stores that are currently selling them:

Game Mania
Free record shop
Nedgame
Mediamarkt

If you can't find them there is always www.bol.com you can order them their with no shipping costs and if you do it before 23:00 on a workday you'll have it the next day.

Im dutch, and had no problem. Go to the mogstation and choose crysta. In the bottom option you can select ultimate pay. From that, you can choose ideal or paypal.
Ideal shouldn't be a problem, and if it is, paypal can help you out.

I read that extra charges may apply (by using the ultimatepay option)
Being the paranoid internet user that I am, I immediately thought, nope.
And left.
Turns out, I can actually just use paypal. I'm stupid.
Anyway should've looked through a little further.

This is the easiest way if you're underaged or don't want a credit card.
You set up a skrill account, let them sent the creditcard to you cost only 10 euro. You can upload your account with a bankaccount in the netherlands so easy to use.
Once you get the creditcard you get pin sent after a couple of days. The creditcard is just a bankcard from skrill so you upload money to skrill and then simply use the skrill card to do payments.

tried paypal declined lol and the other 8 options they offer. totaly cluless alot people the same tried all the option failed with multiple cards and se is ignoring this.

Oh I didn't knew you could buy crysta with iDEAL, I'm going to try that and see how it works.

I'm EU region and I have no option for crysta, I have 3 Credit Cards, they declined all, I searched for a store that sells pre-paid card to send me the code, as I'm currently living outside the EU region, can't find, so how am I supposed to give my money to SE? :/

Funny because I'm still running on free days it doesn't let me add subscription or buy crysta.
