Account Region locked, can't subscribe

When I created the account to play FF14 1.0, I was living in Australia. Therefore all my registration information reflected that. Now that I'm back in America, I cannot renew my subscription because the system expects me to pay in Euros, which I don't have.

There is no option to change regions in account settings and I've submitted TWO tickets to Support and have gotten no answer, other than that they know I submitted a ticket. I am willing to make a new account and buy the game again, but I've already gotten my character almost to max level. I will NOT do that over again. If I make a new account, I expect my characters and benefits to be transfered to it. I would love to let Support handle this, but I can't get a hold of them on the phone, in chat, or by ticket submission/e-mail. This is my last option.

You should be able to pay using credit card - despite Euro is more expensive when compared to USD... otherwise, be mate with those in EU region for game time card.

What about paying with Crysta?

Have you tried to change the account setting and payment option methods from this site:

I know that you can change your address there as well as payment options. I'm not sure which of their sites you tried to do it from. If you have then I'm sorry for mentioning it and what a pain in the groin!

Where can I buy an EU region game card online?

Hi, I got the same problem. I got the EU game client, I am using a credit card issued in Asia, but I am currently stationed in another part of Asia for work.
I am getting constant Error code: 601
I tried a lot of things, but it doesn't work
I went online and got a EU region game card code, entered it in, and worked.
I don't want to advertise any particular sites, but I am sure you'll find some with google.

I just did a lot of googling and couldn't find a non-shady looking website that was selling the EU time cards. Everything looked like a scam, or other people said it was a scam.

Honestly, what it comes down to is that some part of the equation is Region locked, or your credit card is a non-US bank card

Squeeks -> That's pretty much the jist of it. I'm sure they could take care of this in a matter of a minute or two if I could just get on the phone with them or at least in live chat.

Also, from my understanding, chrome is a real pain for the sites, try using IE. Keep trying to call them, wish you luck on getting through

I had the same issue, but in reverse. Played FFXI with an NA residential address, now in Australia, and FFXIV is tied to Europe. Pretty much all you can do is either rebuy an NA copy of the game (don't hold your breath for transfers). Or find a way to pay in Euros, or get a Gamecard. This whole region locking is just stupid. It has created so many issues, and wastes so much Square Enix manpower trying to fix those issues. People move.....it's a modern world. We really need Square Enix to recognise that and work with it.

I've seen the IE option has worked for some people but for others there seems no end in sight. :( I hope you get it worked out.
