Mounts

I know more Mounts are on the way, but I think the Devs should get an idea of what we want.

I personally would like a Wolf mount (barding compatible). Not those sickly looking wolves that are in the game either.

I don't want more mounts, just chocobo's. and not mech chocobo's.

I understand that the Chocobo is an FF classic. And it always will be. But I do enjoy the freedom given to us through choosing which mount to pick. To see yellow birds everywhere, in such a vast and beautiful world doesn't fit this game. There is so much individuality in this game (as far as Style), and I'm not one to blend in. In fact I hate it. I like to personalize everything i get. So YOU can ride all the Chocobo you want, but I think you're normal average person, who lives in a world where we're in most cases just a number, would like to be able to adventure the way that best fits them.
Though this does not mean my point is any more valid than yours. That is what you like. I can respect that. :)

If there's a wolf mount, I'd want it to be a lore-friendly Fenrir. I'd prefer if SE didn't start throwing in random mounts of whatever for no reason at all. Unicorns at least have been in previous FF games and were even summons.

Ifrit mount.. yes plz..

Tree mount yes please!! i want to pretend im in Lord of the Rings while in Eorzea :)

How about give Lalafel piggy-back option on highlanders and taller....I'd roll a Lalafel for that.

Hi all,

First of all, no more mounts inside houses would be great. We could have the same popup window we get when entering a city, hence riders will put foot down before getting in as it's faster.

Now, more on topic.

I support the idea of different mounts at the condition it stays reasonable.

I also consider the priority should be given to the chocobos and their barding system.
About that, I wonder if there are some special barding for specific classes and jobs.
I can't find anything on this yet, so I guess it's for the future, can someone confirm this?

When I am mining I would like my friend to carry some stuff I need .. for mining, like a small beer keg, a lantern, spare tools, saddlebags, you see?

O MAN, I'm with you. Chocobo's are not only awesome but most the other mounts are an eyesore. The mech choco's are so ugly and huge....ugh!!!

Each class should totally have a mount like Conjurer.

Gladiator - No clue..... Griffin might be good for them instead? White Wolf?
Marauder - Griffin or Tiger?
Lancer - Drake/Dragon/Badass scaled monster
Pugilist - Tiger might work for them, or one of those giant buffalos?
Archer - Maybe a Phoenix type thing?
Conjurer - Unicorn :P I thought a tree mount would be cool for them, but eh
Thaumaturge - Something cooly elemental, chimera or hydra type thing?

No, really, I want them. And if they come included within the breeding system I'll be even happier D: Such memories...

I would personally prefer less variety in mounts and more variety in bardings. The other mounts, to me anyway, are just novelty, but the Chocobo is the classic design and I would like more ways to customize that classic.

We already have the Ahriman, so the technology to make a mount look like it's floating/flying is already in.

Is this what really worries you guys? What about not been able to auto-dismount when you cast skill on a mob? Or speak with an NPC while mounted, I prefer that they fix this, or if someone knows why these things are this way just tell me, I've looked but haven't read anything related, and really this issue has me more concerned at the moment than what new mounts they implement.

Ah yeah, also not been able to walk in a city with your mount pisses me off, the answer I got from an user is that it keeps the city '' lag free ''. Ok, but you can craft 'n shine like a fairy with your 2171 craftin' skill and that doesnt ''lag''. If mount congestion lags you buy a better PC, idk.

No priorities for lazy people who can't afford to press a button, no mounts in town and hopefully soon enough no more in houses.

I would have loved to have at least one like as a credit from you for my post in page 2, but no one seem to have even read it :(

A bit of variety in mount abilities/properties would be good, feels odd taking fall damage on a flying mount that doesn't touch the ground even when falling off a bridge.

If the only difference between all the mounts is cosmetic why not just open up the whole bestiary seeing all the models are done already you just sit on top like with the Ahriman etc.

eg. reduced fall damage for Couerl (cats always land on there feet)
No Fall damage for flying mounts
Really reduced aggro from mobs with choccobo

Sorry about that, I usually don't pay much attention to the like button :x but I did read and agree with most of your post, however I think not allowing chocobos indoors would be more trouble than its worth. If someone is riding a Chocobo indoors its usually to get to a specific NPC anyway, which we must dismount to interact with. I think because of this the number of Chocobo riders in doors is kept pretty low anyway.

You do realize though that is not a mechanical chocobo at all right and is actually part of FF lore? http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Magitek_Armor

And yes, I agree that there's too many gimmicky mounts, but then, I guess if someone else likes it and helps bring people into the game, I'm all for it.

Remove the magitek mount before doing anything else, it looks ridiculous and it's way too big.

Just remove the damn ugly Unicorn and Mech for the game.

Okay I agree the unicorn doesn't fit in... and has way too much styling in its mane and tail. But the Magitech is canon FF from a long time ago. I, personally, still prefer chocobos however.
