7 fps after maintenance?

Not sure what is going on. The game was running fine last night on high settings. My gfx card is working fine on everything but this game. On high settings it runs at 4fps, then on standard 7 fps. My gfx card is far above the standard needed. The system settings show it is using the correct gfx card as well. My rig is not hot. I have restarted the client as well as the entire computer. Internet is still running at the usual 20mbps.

Ignore Huxer. For some reason he has this belief that this topic is all about you when this could actually be a legit problem thatmultiple people are having. So lets see if we can't try and solve your problem, you know, like a nice person would do.

So everything is running fine except for the game despite restarts. Have you attempted to update your graphics card driver? Perhaps the driver you currently have isn't liking the game too much after this update. In fact, post your computer specs and perhaps run a diagnostic on your computer as well via a virus scanner like avast, malwarebytes, and Spybot. Cleaning out cokies and cache and such, checking the firewall and turning off any background programs... all the basic stuff. Once you've done all this and updated your graphics card, test out the game again. If you see no change, report back here.

Also, in case I run out of posts for the day, I'll post any responses to you via edits from this post here, or whatever my most recent post on this topic is.

I'm trying to find out if anyone else has the same problems, and may have found a way to fix them.

What kind of card do you have? Also, make sure to post something about it in the bug section as well.

My AMD GPU has a problem with causing an alarm in my Motherboard to go off if there are too many people in a zone... or at least it did - I bought a 220mm fan last week and it lowered the temp in my case about 5 degrees on average across the board... but my GPU is still spiking, which means the game isn't very optimized for AMD GPUs if you ask me.. who knows. (this is the reason i ask about what kind of GPU it is, I'm running on a 7950)

Alright, not exactly what I was expecting, in this case, yes go put this in the bug section of the website. Very few people are going to have the Mobile version of the 260, this is a much more rare card than I was expecting and the dev team needs to see this error.

P.S: Put the game on a good bit lower settings until then.. my biggest thing I would do is turn off all of the GPU extensive things for now (such as AO, etc.)

Well the GTX 260 is a tad lower than what's recommended for high settings (though yours is the mobile version so I dunno if it's more optimised for you and I'm not a laptop expert). Not minimum, mind you, but I'm surprised you got 45fps on high settings with it. Are you going to more crowded places now? Either way, a driver update might be a good idea. intel i3 covers an enormous range of CPUs, so you'll need to be a bit more specific. Still, it's on the low-mid range for this game. I have a Core2 Quad myself and it's stronger than many i3 cpus.

So all I can say is to update drivers, clean your computer, check for viruses/malware/spyware, and maybe adjust certain settings in your graphics to help out, such as turning off motion blur and Ambient Occlusion both require powerful graphics to run and don't impact quality too much if turned off.

Just mess with a few settings. If you STILL have errors, report back here.

this patch broke the game for me....im getting random freezes, crashes and some odd time bsod

Have you tried right clicking on the FF14 icon and selecting "run with" and then select high performance graphic card?

A few things have been said here, like updating the driver, not sure if you have to go though the manufacturer to get this as this is a laptop. Also, play at laptop settings.

Seeing as the recommended video card is a Geforce GTX 660, i'm not surprised by the lack of FPS, but 7 FPS seems a bit to low for any video card.

Also Nice to see another person from Ultros here, I've seen you shout a few times in game too.
