I'm just curious if there is any point in taking 2 SCH for heavy damage encounters like Titan HM.
We had a setup made of 3 healers 1 WHM and 2 SCH, both SCH claimed that they can't mainheal the group or main tank while our WHM didn't seem to have any trouble taking either role.
The SCH shields don't stack and their AoE heal for less than the WHM, yet I see some groups doing fine with 2 SCH.
Is there anything that makes them stand out if you take more than one?

No point having more than1 SCH as SCH shields do not stack, and SCH doesnt have alternate AoE heal to switch to like WHM, but SCH claiming unable to tank heal is ridiculous. If anything it is way easier to solo tank heal as SCH than WHM with shield and unlimited mana. Group healing is more tricky as it involves micro managing pets (which is currently bugged ATM), so not recommended. Its more suitable for WHM anyway looking from their toolkit.
I can only think of chaining SCH CDs: eye for an eye and the dome thingy, but its not much. -

if u'r behind a WHm as main tank healer... than u got something to work on... also bringing 3 healer to titan is just making the fight more open to mistake... bring one more dps it will speed up the fight and will not allow titan to stack too much stomp in the last phase (if u don't know every time titan use his stomp he do one more hit... if u take your time in that phase he will end up killing everyone with stomp... no metter how many healer u get with u... )
on the stacking SCH on the other end... yes actually double SCH really stack very bad... but at the same time with succor and adloquium as they are now stacking them will trivialize most fight... the only way to makes them stack will be to rework the spell shifting more potency to the heal component and less to the shield
example:
Adloquim; healing potency 450, generate a shield equal to half the healed amount (double the shield on crit)
Succor; healing potency 200, generate a shield equal to half the healed amount
if u do the math the amount of effective HP generated is the same as now... but with lesser shield u can't PREVENT too much dmg... u will have to use them as reactive heal rather than preentive... this will balance the stacking... but I think will also destroy the particular game play of scholar that is more based on prenventing the dmg rather than healing it... -

Er you could probably succeed with 2 sch up until coil 4 or perhaps even coil 5 . Simply because healing isn't actually that unforgiving till your at that point.

So far i haven't done the math or theory to know if its better to save your aethers for lustrate or to use 1 soil per 3 aethers. When it comes to tank healing. What needs to be tested is does soil reduce every dmg including dots? you can never know with se lols.
I am feeling that saving aethers for lustrate is a better idea due to the fact that an ohshit button is invaluable. -

Two SCH is very do-able, but it requires a little more coordination between the two healers than any other setup.
Assign one SCH to tank shielding and healing and the other is allowed to shield everyone else. Have the scholars have different fairies out. SCH will rotate casting sacred soil on the tank, so the tank will have a constant 10% extra damage reduction. Tank healer spends most of his time casting adloquium and physick. The other SCH cast physick on the tank and spot heals and succor on everyone else. Honestly, with two people procing succors from sacred soil and two fairies, the party shouldn't require much spot healing.
Now two whm or sch and whm, no preplanning or coordination is really needed. If both healers react to something, the worse that happens is some over healing. Thus why the double sch is least desirable. -

The problem is that you only ever need 1 SCH. So when 16 man and 24 man content comes out you still on need 1 SCH. I dealt with this for years as a Disc priest in WoW.

I am/was a scholar, and whenever I see the other healer is a scholar, I kinda get disappointed. These groups always have trouble. Two white mages will never have this same degree of useless overlap. On a scale of 1 to 10 if SCH+WHM is a 10 and SCH+SCH is 1, then WHM+WHM is probably a 8 or 9.
Its why I ended up making one. You can argue about which healer is better and get 100 different opinions, but when it comes to stacking, there really is no "silver lining" for the scholar. Two white mages can get the job done and barely even notice what they would be missing by having a scholar. Two scholars are too well aware of what they are missing when they both start pitifully spamming succor after the big AE damage. And no, the succor they casted before the AE (whatever was left of it) doesn't do much to help either. And yes, the faery HoT would be nice, but has no upfront healing which is so desperately needed when the whole party is sitting at 10-20% health. -

But two good scholars will do the job, as will two good white mages. Each have their positives and negatives, and using one of each will even this out.
