1 year playing GW2, only once Anet take the server down recently during 1 year anniversary and also there are absolutely no server down time either shortly after launch or even during game update every 2 weeks.
I guess, it shows that American tech is much much better.

I was in Brayflox Longstop last night for the first time and got right before the last boss when the servers went down (we thought we might squeeze it in before downtime but nope). I retried today and got the emergency maintenance message whilst in it again, lol. Happy to say we sailed through in 26mins though. :cool:

yeah but the difference is that guild wars 2 is a terrible game by a company that damn well knows better and is too lazy to care (see GW1).
