You dont think itll be like that a month from now anyway? Who cares...
Aww sorry we will take time and effort to get the gear....... People in this community suck lol
Also the que time + speed run time = normal dungeon run time.
the time difference really isn't that much an extra 20 minutes per run wheeeee~
Seriously. People complain more, and get what they want, and yet they're not even satisfied and demand more.
My God, people, I swear you guys why we can't have nice things.
You can do 30 minute CM runs for 100 tombstones instead of 20 minute AK for 80, not a big loss. Everyone will still have to do AK for mythology all the same.
there's really no difference anyway. Speed runs were never that much faster then CM runs to begin with, and Myth tokens capped at 300 per week. I don't see the problem.
1 maintance omg its NA prime time
2 reapier costing me to much (fixed)
3.Rushers elitest death runs ( hopefully fixed)
4 blah blah ecomny broken I just want to kill stuff and make money QQ ( level something easy 20-30k a day from lvl 20 tradecraft leve's)
5 even seen one of 2 lvl 50's in forums complaing about they are lvl 50 they don't want to raid and there nothing to do ( yeah ok)
Just give everyone that's never step foot in the instance 900 stone and its fixed huh bet that would solve the prob and piss you off at the same time. Look either:
1. Go back to WoW or you F2p game and let the people who want to enjoy this game style
or
2 deal with it its a game ment for relaxation
fourms for FF game use to be polite and helpful but now...
Worst is I had to sink to your lvl to make this simple staement
Lol you're whining about supposed 'elitism' yet use the 'Go back to F2P or WoW' line and also talk about having to sink to my 'level'. If you took the time to actually read what I stated in the OP you would know that I'm not whining, but rather concerned that players who didn't hit 50 yet will now be subject to elitist exclusion similarly to how they already are (Or rather, were in AK speed-runs or on-server group finding).
But, judging by your ability to spell I can't say I'm surprised.
I don't even care, now people will only bitch at me once a week to do ak instead of all day all week. I can go mining now.
With the recent changes to the dungeon we all love (sarcasm). I feel like it's going to create a bigger elitist attitude within the community.
Before while doing AK speed runs you just run through, kill a boss, and be on your way to the next. Now when faced with trash, the dungeon will take at least 2-3x as long. Since you are no longer doing just bosses geared players (from prior AK runs probably) are going to be more highly sought after, while newer 50's, are going to get more "put on the spot" for not having the very gear they're trying to farm.
Geared players in a boss fight vs Semi-geared make 1-3 minutes of difference as long as the mechanics are down. But now that margin will be so huge, that I fear a lot more name calling is on the way.
With the dps meter out, it's just a matter of time before "LF AK 400+ DPS ONLY /tell" :/.
--Or when you try the new speed run to boss only to find your healer/summoner doesn't have swiftcast :(
Seen this happen before in many MMO's. What's the long term result? Nothing. In a few months time everyone will be geared the same, ready for the next set of dungeons.
So you can either ./ragequit or grind out your gear. Coming onto the forums and QQ'ing will only lead to responses you don't want to hear. I've yet to see a developer say "Yep, your're right, we're wrong. We'll put the exploit back in". But hey, maybe SE is different...LOL
Note: I don't have my gear and will have to acquire it the long way.
As someone who just hit 50 on a new character and never had a chance to do speed runs, I can honestly say I don't care. The rift will close over time because of the weekly cap on stones and the limited amount of items you can buy with them. Besides, I don't measure my success by checking it against the person standing next to me. This isn't a job or a competitive sport, it's something you do in your spare time and I'll get there at my own pace. Nothing makes my eyes glaze over faster than people who complain that they got the shit end of the stick in a video game. They forget what games are for.
Personally I wish they just increased the amount of tomestones you got while doing AK and Palace. The ONLY reason people did speed runs was to farm up tomestones/gear quickly.
I've done speed runs mostly because killing trash is nothing more than a waste of time, if perhaps they dropped random items/gil or equipment (which isn't vendor trash) and vendor trash people may be more inclined to actually kill them. With there being a timer set on dungeons speed runs actually allowed for learning of bosses and boss mechanics, removing the ability to do speed runs for some groups actually removes attempts on bosses and leads to not completing the dungeon.
I've been in both 50 dungeons where when I was learning the dungeon and bosses I killed all the trash, doing so lead me to never complete the dungeon as I spent more time on trash than I did bosses. When I started doing only bosses and no trash I completed the dungeon every time, simple solution is to make the trash worth while to kill and also a reduction in difficulty to allow new visitors the chance to actually learn bosses before the timer ends.
I am so confused by this community.
A good chunk of people were begging for an AFK timer. AFK timer is implemented, the world has ended. Even though they have fixed the login issues (for the most part), this will theoretically still help with server load and lag since it won't be stuffed to the brim with AFK'ing people.
Then we have the group screaming that everything in this game is too easy. How it's a joke to get armor, etc. SE makes some changes to make these things take more effort and time, and now here come the tears again.
