As title, now AK run will be stupidly long. At least make it that people can get chance to have gear before they are all bored to dead.

So they should make it possible to get ilvl90 gear in a week then?
Square enix implement a 'sigil' that drops from that primals ( low percentage) aswell as a weapon.
You can sell it to the vendor at revenants for 100 myth or 400 philo.
Hard-modes only, just give us other ways to farm myth.. hell even philo. It'll just turn to castrum for days.
OR they should improve the number of tomes so it isnt a rediculous grind fest.
Having 50mins for 40 and 300 cap is a slap in face for a p2p apparently casual mmo.
Because grindfest is a symptom of laziness from the devteam. I would rather have a true challenge for my gear, than keep repeating same boring dungeons over and over again. There is no challenge, it gets boring, and I don't have the patience, just like many others. Still in full-AF for that reason.
Agreed. Remove the cap, People will pretty much run AK all day long anyways. Philosophies doesnt have a cap, why do mythologies do? :/
The thing is SE is just making the grind longer. The Main reason they placed capped in mythology is so that players will be forced to play 3months just to get the ENTIRE ilevel90 set. This way, they wont have to add new contents every now and then. Talk about being lazy
They should, but they won't. They need this single dungeon, being really the only viable way to farm Mythology, to somehow stretch to patch 2.1, they're not going to make it easier to obtain tokens. I guarantee you the moment 2.1 is released, they'll magically, by sheer coincidence amirite, realize how really not great this system is, and either increase Mythos cap, or increase tokens all around in dungeons.
Because think about it. They could have given incentive to killing trash in AK. In myriad other MMOs, even trash has potential to drop something of value. But they chose to force you to fight enemies that give little to nothing, because giving you things with the next content patch still a bit of a ways away is not what they want. That carrot needs to remain just out of grasp until the next content patch, in which they will finally let you have it, only to display another, shinier, better looking carrot for you to chase for 3-4 months.
look at the prices for myth if we could farm as much as we want we would have af+1 gear in like 1 1/2 weeks
You understand that the stuff you get from myth is on the same level as the Bahamut Coil drops...right?
The cap is padding to prevent people from obtaining all content before 2.1
They want to make it even more time consuming and tedious by patching speed running.
Agree with OT....Please put off the Myth Cap!
This system anti-speed is really boring. Why the hell, if we can speed it, we can't do it anymore? We already needed like a month to farm our AF1, now? 1h about of dungeon, since we must kill all the mobs; moreover, there are people having a job and now, if they had one hour to play and clear AK 3 times (and, at least farm something), now they will never obtain anything. This system sucks, it's boring. It's only a restriction to slow people able to speed it. Remove this shit, seriously.
Why remove the myth cap? so in about 1-2 weeks you all come complaining how there is nothing to do? i say keep the cap intact. i rather not see everyone running in full AF2 gear in about a week, no thanks.
However i do agree that the trash mobs should at least give some incentive. Having them there just to be there doesn't make any sense.
Either implement a reason to kill the trash (Rare Drops, 1 Token per Mob, Gil per Mob, Seals per Mob, Whatever) or let people speed run it. There just is no reason to kill the trash not to mention that the current restriction didn't make it impossible to speedrun it. It just removed Warriors as a viable tanking option. Paladins can still speedrun it all day.
Removing the cap is a bad idea because as i said above it is still possible to speedrun it with a paladin tank.
I would not like to see the cap removed, it gives some incentive to move on to other things once you've done your farming. But what I would like to see would be some novelty or better crafting items drop from the normal mobs in the instances. I find that when people want to start doing things too quickly, they become impatient with themselves and other people instead of just enjoying the game. I personally don't see the need to rush, and there is a lot more to try than just getting the final set of gear.
On the flip side, the increase in allagan pieces in the dungeon has made the dungeons profitable :)
Cry me a river.....
Eh, nothing wrong with the cap. You aren't supposed to get gear equivalent to the item level of stuff in Coil of Bahamut in a single week.
The dungeon is stupidly long so you want them to remove the cap so you can do the stupidly long dungeon more times per week.
...okay.
They should not remove the cap and I also agree with them fixing the speed runs. However, it would be really nice if they would add something to the droplist of trash mobs. Something really simple as jewelry with a drop chance of 5% or something. That would give people enough reason already to kill the trash mobs and get 1 maybe 2 rings/earrings or whatever a run.
7-8 hours per week? 40~mins a run. About an hour per day?
How long does it take to do dailies in other games again?
Umm. No.
Progression is intentionally "slow." Welcome to MMOs.
Having trash is good, but they need to drop something. Gils (would solve the gils issue), % of drops stuff ? Dunno but trash with nothing is stupid.
Trash with loots / action on the boss (Aion) is good.
Agreed, or at least up it to 500. 300 is too low when the current content is so easy and boring yet you need higher gear to run coil. Running AK/Ifrit/Garuda/lolwanderer is tedious and boring, primals being the least rewarding for your time with the low token drops and RNG on weapons. Something needs to be added to make this stuff more rewarding.
The audacity of people that take gaming content like a grain of salt. You've got to be really naive to think content is just thrown together willy nilly. It takes a lot of time and effort from a Dev Team to create content for players. SE wanting to create new content every 3 months is a testament that they are not lazy, by any means.
