Isn't that like saying I'd like to visit the origin village/cities of white people?
Other than tribal races (miqote) I doubt any race has a pallet town.
I would like nothing better, go get out of elezen country! I'll pack your bags and point the way! :)
would be cool to visit the origin towns of each race, after all the races didn't fall from the sky (or atleast i hope so XD).
some lore around each race wouldn't hurt.
lol how ridiculous would that be? fall from the sky as if they were tears from a goddess
... ;D
more on a serious note: evolution and segregation. races don't begin in towns. you could at most hope for a continent with a predominant race I suppose but that isn't the same as to say the race originates from that place.
well FFXI had race lore and each race did in fact have home countries.
the altepa desert was the galka races home country but it was taken over by beastmen so they went to the humes home town for refuge.... and so on.
so it would not only be remeniscent of FFXI to have racial towns, but it would also be in line with ever other MMO in existance, they all have racial countries too.
Hellsguard Roegadyn is from O'Ghomorro and the entrance is above Camp Iron Lake. So yeah, eventually :D
I didn't mean for my original post to sound racist or something. I was leaning more along the lines of 'lore' and exploring the history of Eorzea. I'm not calling for segregated towns or anything. I wouldn't mind some text logs to read or maybe an 'Archeology' class to dig up some artifacts about the past. Eorzea is interesting, and I'd like to explore it a bit more. How did it become the way it is now? Am I the only one interested in the history of this world? I hope not.
Gonna necro-bump this one, as I haven't seen any news regarding it, and it would be really cool to see the origin areas (plus it's a nice departure from the many threads complaining about moogle weapons). Hopefully if they were to do so, they wouldn't half-@$$ it like the beastmen strongholds (which were half the size of the lower-level beastmen areas in XI).
According to the lore, Eorzea is pretty much the ancestral homeland of the Elezen, all of the other races migrated from other lands. I don't see visiting other lands coming for quite awhile.
possible in some expansions I would imagineQuote:
Boasting the largest population in Eorzea, the Hyur came from neighboring continents and islands in three great migratory waves
Again possible, but probably less likelyQuote:
The Lalafell were originally a group of agriculturalists inhabiting the fertile islands of the south seas. With the introduction of transmarine commerce, they soon found their way to Eorzea via trade routes.
As already mentioned. Get off our land!!Quote:
The Elezen are a traditionally nomadic people who in former times claimed sole dominion over Eorzea
Unlikely as they live from fair away lands.Quote:
The Roegadyn are a maritime people whose largest concentrations are found in the northern seas, by way of which they came to Eorzea.
Seem nomadic and weren't what Mi'qote are today, so you could say they are new races and started life on Eorzea.Quote:
During the Age of Endless Frost, as the seas turned to ice and passage over them became possible, Eorzea saw an influx of foreign fauna to her shores. This in turn brought the hunting tribes which subsisted upon them, the modern descendants of whom are today known as the Miqo’te.
