They're going to patch the AK and TWP speed run exploits tonight...

I hope ya'll enjoyed exploiting the game mechanics and finishing a dungeon in a way it was not meant to be done. Too bad that they won't subtract the non-legit tomestones from your inventory or issue a caution / warning against your SQEX account :cool:

I've done all my P-Tomes the legit way: By running Castrum Meridianum and Preatorium with first-timers and FC members.
Never attempted and/or participated in game mechanic abuse like AK / TWP speed runs.

So you did it the most inefficient way and missed out on Mythology Tomes?

You should tell SE it's absurd that clearing things the right way, yields more repair costs than suiciding through a dungeon repeatedly.

Repair cost while doing wanderers:

Legit full run : 700-900 gil average repair after each run
Speed running and killing myself: 2-300 gil average.

The hell?

Yea for tier 1 tomes, you can do castrum in 25min with a good group that communicating, USE THE CANNONS! you only need to kill the trash to the first and second bosses really, and theres afew skipable packs anyway.

Isn't providing misinformation and information that hasn't been released yet a bannable offense?

Im reading and replying to this thread during the maintenance.

idk if its true or not but i sure hope it is. the whole "sac pull" thing is very poor design. a speed run should be because of the coordination of the whole grp in clearing content up to and including bosses effectively. Some have pointed out that clearing trash is unrewarding (i craft alot so drops always have a use for me but i understand that not all do) So I would like to see a "chain system" put in place for capped characters. (ie chain 4 gives you a token and if you get chain 6 you get 2 etc, something tame but rewarding)
Guess we will see what happens hehe. (just like to point out that i don't mind avoiding things with actual mechanics though, ie grp slips past a patrol by avoiding sight aggro or "walks" past an area full of sound aggro mobs etc)
