Patch 2.1. date

Been hearing all the good updates coming to 2.1 but anyword on when we are getting it?

I think around November.

November sometime.

I'd use the "soon tm" joke but thats Blizzards thing.

So I'll use "eventuary" for FF14.

What!? Nov? Are you kidding me, thats 2 months from now. 2.1 should be out in October to keep people subscribed.

It's also Riot's thing.

Far as I know, the plan always was for the first patch to be out around one month after release, and every other patch every few months following. That may have changed though given all the craziness with the servers they've had.

if people can't find something fun to do in this game for just two months, they're not likely to even do the 2.1 content anyways.

Yeah, I can't remember where I saw it, but Yoshi-P basically said that path 2.1 was ready they were just ironing out a few little things here and there. However, I think November would be far too late, they need to add 2.1 sooner rather than later.

If the entire launch game is old for you within 2 months, what are you expecting in a patch?

...Why? Most people will not be done with even a fraction of the game by November. If you people seriously are bored of the entire launch content in 2-3 months, do you really think content patches every 3-4 months is going to add more than the entire launch content?

I think a lot of people aren't focused on 2.1 for content, but because they keep talking about fixes and quality of life improvements and then they say they are "working on it for 2.1" I know I won't be out of content anywhere close to 2 months from now, but I would like the quality of life improvements sooner rather than later.

You might want to put a question mark at the end of your title since you are asking a question. Came in here expecting the 2.1 patch date...

The "Soon(tm)" thing has been around with MMOs since at least the EQ days....

I remember Yoshi-P saying somewhere that the first major patch (2.1) would be released somewhere between 3 and 4 months after release. While there is certainly enough content to keep me busy until then, there are a few things they really should work on getting out faster (mainly some of the QoL fixes).

That might be the point. Lightning might be a Level 50 FATE I'm thinking.

no he did say that the major patch will have a time between each of 2 to 2 and half month.
and while the last live letter he did say that the 2.1 can arrive sooner than player can expect it.

and that all... no date.
my bet, still, will be around 15 october, because let's be honest, the game need more feature actually, it's true that we have ton of class at level up and stuff to get by running the same dungeon a billion of times.
but i guess it's will not be enough to keep people hooked, if he was smart, i will have the 2.1 for the 27th september, right 1 month after the release.

Figure 2.1 to be before the PS4 release date. It should include the updated clients and probably DX11 upgrade as well as added content.

DX11 upgrade?! Is that true! That will be freaking awesome!

If 2.1 is going to be "that" far away, such as October/November, then the QoL updates that people want should be pushed out sooner in a smaller patch. There are at least a few handfuls of small adjustments that could and should be made sooner rather than later.
