Amdapoor Keep very lengthy queue...

I don't know if it's the server I'm on (Behemoth) or if it's because of people chain running the dungeon but the queue time for Amdapor Keep has gone from lengthy to obnoxious.

My duty finder is showing that I have a full group ready to do the instance but that it's in the process of "reserving instance" for close to an hour now. That's 60 minutes in queue...with a party ready.

The party forming is obviously not the issue [I've tried to do it with a full party on my server and same scenario].

I've had guildmates state they've waited for over 2 hours yesterday IN QUEUE and still didn't get into the instance.

With more and more people hitting end game every day, this is an issue that needs a fix ASAP.

I'm currently unable to progress in my relic weapon quest nor my grand company quest because the queue times are so long...

Is anyone else experiencing this trend?

There's just too many people doing Amdapor Keep that there aren't enough available instances. So you have to wait until current running instances are finished. So it's kinda like a queue system where you wait for your turn to jump into an instance.

Is happening on most servers, not just Behemoth.

if i were you i'd wait until the end of the week near the reset to do amdapor keep, too many people are trying to get their mythology capped for the week

Personally, I think SE should alter the rewards for the other level 50 dungeons. Make all 3(?) dungeons give the same results. That will spread the population to 3 instances with the same rewards instead of everyone and their mom doing Keep.

I wouldn't mind doing Wanderer's Palace more if it just had like 20 or so Mythology reward.

The only problem with Palace dropping the same amount of myth is that palace is much easier and drops lower ilvl gear than AK. I think this was their intention, but wait until tonight's maintenance. They increased the server caps for almost 3k, I'm sure they will do somewhere near the same for the duty finder instances now.

Also, if you bothered to read the announcements regarding upcoming maintenances, you'd know that today's maintenance is being performed "in order to add new content to Worlds, enhance instance Worlds, further enhance Duty Finder performance, and to address several confirmed issues". So yeah, they're fixing it.

I just dislike only 1 instance being viable and running it over....and over.... and over.... mindlessly... over... and over... repeat.... it's not fun, it's not a challenge, and it's boring.

I think it's cute you think "Duty Finder Performance" = "fixing the problem" considering even today they've yet to confirm what issues they're addressing outside of "we're addressing some issues, tell you about it later!" you.

You're also in the vast minority if you think someone disliking waiting 2 hours in queue to do an instance makes them impatient.

I'm aware as to why the issue is happening. It just went from 30-60 minute wait to a 90-120+ minute wait in a days time. I wasn't sure if this was a new issue or an ongoing one which is why I made the post :)

I'd like to know why in DF, after waiting for 20-30min at least for AK.. that it gives me a join in progress of 3/4--final boss is already killed. i try to ignore it but it takes me off the queue and now im back to square one. Now im starting to think i shouldn't click join in progress just for that dungeon

I doubt this will be an issue anymore. The speed runners will probably move to castrum not that there are anti speed run measures in place. The queue will probably go down significantly, the exploiters cannot exploit anymore.

Castrum? You mean one of the dungeons that you *can't* farm Tomes of Mythology in?

The limit on Amdapor instances doesn't make sense. Other dungeons instant pop when you have a full group. This means there isn't a problem with the instance server. It is an artificial limit designed to what exactly? The only reason I can think of is to drive the people who want to do Amdapor away from the game. Wildstar looks better and better every time my full group can't get into Amdapor.

I play SCH and my buddy is WAR. We got insta queue. We also got 2 DPS that died 9 times at the Demon Wall due to Repel and then Lack of DPS (we were fighting on that purple shit because we were out of room). One was DRA and 1 was SUM.
So we quit after 9 tries.

Queue time is not everything.
