for sake of playability, please cap number of people in a zone at a time

e.g. when Behemoth or Odin spawn, practically the whole server runs over to participate, resulting in amazing lag. tons of people disconnect, you can't see anything, everybody dies, and you can't return, you just get stuck in limbo. So please, cap the number of people that can enter the zone. Not everyone may get to participate, but at least the people who are there can actually play.

Nah this sounds bad. Might as well just put them in DF if you go this route.

i just teleported to dragonhead to do some company leves not knowing Behemoth had spawned now i cant even log into the game.

it might be a little disjoining to not be able to enter the area, but they clearly want this to be a many person fight, so putting it in the DF won't work.

We're lucky as it is on Hyperion that the server doesn't go down- there were probably like 10 times more people than the zone can support.

Of course, it might not quite the cataclysmic event that it's being if it wasn't so rare. if it just appeared more often you wouldn't see quite as large of a horde of people chasing after it.

I just wanted some Spruce logs, now I cannot play because all these "super smart" peopled rushed over to fail at Behemoth.

Yeah, I'm sure many players miss 1017 so much that they want it to apply to individual zones instead of whole servers.

You'd still be able to log in, you simply wouldn't be able to zone into the area while the fate is in progress.

As it stands right now though, good luck logging in if you logged in that area when behemoth pops, because the lag will be so bad you won't get in (which is what happened to me after I died to behemoth and tried to return)

Or just cap the number of summoners that can ruin a fate for everyone.

smn/acn/sch/minions don't bother me so much as the amount of people that summon and bring their Chocobo's out into fates, Doing Svara fate I had like 10 people summon their chocobo and Svara disappeared off my screen. Why must we need the chocobo's when we already have a mob of people fighting the boss.

FFXI had a cap on zone in besiege so it's not unheard of. like 600 ish.

As for mob going invis because so many people.

SE should make draw order.
yourself.
your party, raid party
Your pets
Mobs.
Other party members pets.
Other PCs

Would be a bad idear, so no thank you.

Then they should put them in DF, because holy hell I think we messed something up on hyperion when behemoth spawned.

Have a slightly bigger zone ring outside the odin fate ring that only allows 45-50 lvl characters to enter.

@OP if they implement this next post of yours wiill be."OMG SE you give us world bosses but not everyone can participate to kill them!.FIX THIS ASAP!"

I made a similar suggestion ingame a while ago. Instead of denying access, the zones are semi-instanced to multiple copies and players are split among them, so 200 players in the zone could be split into two groups of 100, each group in their own copy of the zone. Party members would always enter the same copy.

Of course there is a problem where you theoretically could keep transitioning between zones to fight, for example, two behemoths in a single day, so some time based lockouts would be needed.

OP you're right on the problem but the solution you're offering is not acceptable.
I hope they find a way to fix these events I didn't test myself yet, preferably fixing them as they are, and in the worst case making them instanced, but not certainly not by locking the zone when it's full...

I'd reorder it depending on class. Your order sounds great for a healer, but as a DPS I honestly don't care where my party is as long as they're alive and I can see them on the map.

Would definitely like to see myself and the mob first.
