What to do when not playing FFXIV

So I'm at work and business has slowed down alot and I have about 3 hours of freetime each day but I cant play FFXIV. What is something I could do to prepare for when I get home to play FFXIV? Like crunch some numbers or read up on fights or something like that?

Do youtube search for videos of primal hard mode.

Oh i thought you were gonna ask for other fun activities... Well the new app for iOS, soon made for Android too, is being released. It's something about checking out items and other characters so if you're a Final Fantasy XIV maniac go for that all day? ;)

Otherwise i was going to suggest playing Tales of Xillia. Asides from being alot of fun to switch between a local multiplayer-singleplayer game, ToX, and a MMORPG, FFXIVARR, it also gives you a broader perspective gameplay wise on how to play and even how to grind effectively.. At least i experience Final Fantasy XIV differently when playing ToX at the same time. :o (Ps3 ftw!)

You could always go to the Lodestone and pull up your character's information to compare with someone of whom you know may already have gear that you are going to pursue sometime down the road. Use the XIVDB.com site to get your information or, if you have an iPhone, download "Libre Eorzea" and use that to research your gear.

And as Lemon8or said above, research some of the primal fight videos or even the dungeon ones. You could sit around and read the forums, but things are in a bit of disarray at the moment and most of the topics aren't particularly conveying much in the way of useful-game related information. Fun if you just want to do some light internet anthropology though.

Work, go to the gun range, throw tomahawks, socialize in person, play with my cat, go out side when I think it's safe that the sun wont try to kill me, you know the non nerdy stuff normal people do.

Work, exercise (tomorrow world 10th year anniversary comming up wooo!) But mostly work and concoct new recipe's for my restaurant to be :3

i usually cuddle with my cats hahah.

Visit the Mog Garden in XI and get back to the story in Guild Wars 2.

I watch lets plays /gameplay videos/ game speedruns on youtube and draw when I'm taking a break. :3

I usually compare gear and plan ahead. Given that lodestone tells you what you're wearing, I usually look that up and compare it to what's out there. Plan for what to get, how to get it, what plausible and what's not (whether it's via quests, crafting, dungeon, etc). I also read up/listen to (on youtube) opinions on the jobs I play to get some ideas on how I can improve my play style.

Lol. If you're in school you could do homework. I often do homework at work when I'm not busy.

Im at work, and i am on the FXIVDB site, and the lodestone. I am trying to figure out the order of which i buy Darklight/AF2 pieces. Think i got it figured out..... mostly
