Stolen gil

Somebody hacked my account last night and stole over 6000 gil. I went to to myfc bank and grabbed some gil and once again thestole the gil while I was online before I could use it to teleport.
So beware and change your passwords

Somone stole your gil while logged in? How is that even possible?

are you sure its not the bug where you cross instance lines eg. city parts and stuff vanishes from ur inventory yes its annoying but cmon check facts before screaming you been hacked

fact 1 had 6000 gil after i logged out Monday night 2 hours later logged back in 6000 gil gone fact 2 got 500 gil from bank teleported to ul Dar (100 gil ) got done with teleport
had 96 gil also only thing missing was gil
those are the facts .
next question .

yeah so each one of them instances you either teleported or logged out so u char zoned off the server and or crossed lines of loading sounds like the bug that's going around....but you know authentication and all but in all honesty sounds like the bug

Using 3rd party programs or crap password.

A great opportunity not to be hacking
When I converted the game map / class
will be lost item / gil / Soul Crystal (yea it is a Soul Crystal)
Then I immediately re-enter the game character can not be read (1016)
Many people have this problem

Yeah i had my Gil disappear 2 times now and then they said I was selling my Gil now my account is closed -_-

I think the fake Lodestone website that ranks higher on Google than the real Lodestone is what is getting many folks unfortunately. I accidentally logged into it and changed my password immediately.

How did you recognize it? I don't see this fake site so I'm concerned I'm just not able to recognize it.

If you mean http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/‎ (which is top of my Google results) that is real, but it's the 1.0 Lodestone. I have no idea why that one is still active, it's confusing enough for me to see my character in his 1.0 form (appearance/name), but it must be incredibly confusing for 2.0 only players who can't log into it at all because they don't have a valid character. SE please update this to point to the new 2.0 Lodestone?!

SE issued a statement that there was a security breach with another website (not theirs) and people who use the same passwords are being hacked.

Youll cry about 6000 now. Wait till you reach endgame with over 100.000k and nothing to spend on.

I lost 50,000 Gil last night while playing. I had 3k on me and needed 4,400 to fix my gear. I went to my FC chest grab the 51,000 I had stored there. Fixed my crap and was left with a little more than 50k. I then sold all of the allagan tin, bronze, silver and gold pieces I had for 199,950 Gil. I didn't notice at that instance I was missing gil. I teleported and zoned a couple time and looked at my total and I had the exact amount of the sale of the allagan pieces, 199,950. Quite strange. I put through an in game bug report.

lesson here: keep an eye on your Gil.
