hacked account

When I try to login I get error 3102 says someone's logged into my account. I know it is hacked because they created a second character on another server. I already changed my password. What do I do now?

Get the token app if you have iOS or android for extra security. And follow the guide to register it. Put in a ticket as well. When they get off the account they won't be able to get back in again.

How are so many people getting hacked all of the sudden.

I activated a token already and sent them an email but where do I send a ticket?

I'd like to know this as well. Was there a link, email, something like that, or a breach right at Square? I've got a token, and i know they aren't 100%, that they 'can' be hacked, but generally is too much work for the hackers.

Well there was a suspicious email that came out a few weeks back regarding early access codes (IIRC) that several people were dismissing as scaremongering etc. despite numerous people pointing out glaring errors in the email (spelling mistakes etc.)
May have something to do with it......

Or they just wanted to get ahead and tried to buy gil and got their account stolen. Or just visited one of the sites and got a keylogger installed.
Thats my prime 2 suspects. Doubt anyone falls for email phising anymore in this age ._.

So I was finally able to log back in and the hacker left me with 50k, the rest of my Gil gone so I filled out the forms to request the rollback. Anyone know if I continue playing I lose that data as well considering its a rollback I would assume I do but can anyone verify please?

Thought it was odd that the gil seller spam was offering 500k for 56 dollars. How did they get so much gil so fast. Now I know.

Password is secure enough, if you are not being stupid with it, I don't even have an iPhone or Android, so no token for me. PEBKAC will also break any security measure.

something must have happened at SE, I know I never followed any suspicious links or tried to buy gil or anything of the sort. yet here I am in the same situation. I still cannot log into my account so i'm not certain it was actually a hack or just another SE server fuck up, being seeing somewhere here who actually got stole from. very disheartening.

Does anyone know how long it really gonna take for the rollback? Its 4 days now and we hasn't even looked at my ticket. I'm losing hope I feel like they are not gonna do it.

How did you get your account back so fast? I just got off the phone, and they told me it would be about a week...

I highly doubt that a security breach has happened with SE because if there was I am pretty sure they would catch it and have to make a big announcement about us changing passwords and such.

I haven't had a One-time password on my account for a long time and I haven't been hacked. Also if somebody attempts to put in your password incorrectly multiple times then they will lock your account. The only thing that would make sense is that the people who have been hacked have a keylogger on their Comp and don't know it.

If you want to fix this then make sure you get the one time password asap. (if you have iphone or android it is free) Then make sure you use anti-virus and anti-spyware programs to comb through your HD and get rid of the crap.

but still all in all just get the Security Token, I just started using it and have had no issues what so ever with it. Definitely worth it even if you have to buy the little key chain thing for it.

Well.. a roll back is... well that... a roll back.. so... for obvious reasons your character will be reset to the last saved version of it before the hack.

They have beefed up their login security for their account management site, in the last 2-3 days. Which seems odd if there wasn't an issue to begin with.

There's absolutely no way that the breach was on my end. I didn't visit any suspicious sites. I use my PC for gaming and gaming only. I surf the web on my tablet. I didn't respond to any strange emails. I literally finished playing at around 9 on Tuesday night. Logged off, shut my PC down. Got up the next morning to log in, and my account was hacked. So some how my user name was at least leaked and then hackers used that to gain my password.

I am not sure, they could notice people are being hacked and decided to beef up their security for safety but doesn't really have to mean that the problem is on their end. Not trying to be a "White Knight" here but It just seems unlikely that there is a security breach on their end without them noticing it and giving the community a heads up.

I agree that it doesn't mean for sure that it's on their end. But for me personally I just can't think of a single way that someone could have gotten my info from me.

Once the hacker logged out of my account I was able to log back in without any issues. I haven't been able to do anything though because waiting for sese to stop dragging their damn feet and do the rollback its been 4 days already and they haven't emailed me back once about myticket...

Another way is that hackers will hack forums of various game sites and try the usernames and passwords they retrieve from them and then use those in selected MMO's in hopes they weren't smart and didn't use a different username/password for the game. A lot of people don't use various usernames and passwords, so it is very easy to get into some peoples accounts. They used this strategy in Diablo III, but I'm sure they use it for everything else too because it was very successful.

Oh, they actually suspended/terminated my account :/

my account was hacked and all Gil stolen last night, played up till server maintenance kicked me off, and got up this morning was still more maintenance... i log back in when its over(account got locked) had to change PW and stuff unlocked and all Gil is gone.
somehow they hacked my account durring maintenance? or the short time between maintenances or something? wtf... if i really have to wait a week thats going to suck... Is rollback for sure what they do? or can they just send the money to you?

Keep in mind not everyone has been hacked. There is a disappearing item/gil bug that has been accepted as of right now.

The English is bad, but you should be able to get the gist of it.

Got hacked as well. Went to bed around 4:30PST and woke up to the e-mail about suspicious activity. Changed my password and logged in to find 0 gil. Nothing else appears to be missing and I am fine with just getting the rollback. Waiting a week is not acceptable though.

I as many other had the same problem. I have played 30+ MMO's and never had anything like this happen to me. I find it extremely weird that it happens here and on my FFXIV account if I would indeed have a keylogger installed ( Which I know I don't).

Also this wouldn't be as huge of a issue if Square enix didn't have the worst support in MMO history. Forcing players to wait several days just for a reply to their tickets which tells them to contact chat/phone support and then wait another week for a ROLLBACK! I mean what the heck is wrong with them? All the waiting you have to do surely takes longer time than just farming back whatever you lost

My only guess can be that they really hate money... Because no one as bad at what they do deserves to stay in business. At this point I kinda wish 1.0 had put the out of business so that someone else could have gotten the FF license.

I've been using the security token that came with my CE edition. Should I continue to use that or get the app for my phone. I'm worried about battery life on the little thing and whether or not I can replace a battery on it when it dies on me.

I'm also a ps3 user and rarely use a PC these days as I have tablet. Should I still be worried?

Everyone thing I've read so far looks like it's PC users. I doubt gil sellers even use PS3.

Have you all used a same login/password from different forum? That's an easy way to get hacked. Once those site has been compromised and the hacker connected you between this game and the forum then all they have to do is try.
