*raises hand* but I don't care about them removing anima, in fact I want it to stay, no biggie, it runs out fast anyway.
I would love chocobos but there has to be a reason why they aren't implemented yet or else we'd already have them.
Chocobos please and take out the anima or make it a high level high cost skill of one of the classes.

I wonder if it would take longer than 1 hour to change anima costs. No reason to choose. We need Beta Chocobos. Let us ride them around everywhere, even in cities. If they try to program it for certain areas it will probably just take longer.

They should do chocobo racing again but not the silly way XI Was that no one cared about, one where you're in charge, and you race other players, and in the current zones
I'd even take a Dodobo at this point.

Btw by taking out the anima I assumed that would be the end of teleporting not cost-free teleporting.
I don't see what would be the reasons to use chocobos ever if they keep that lazy feature in the game.
UNLESS we get to fight on a chocobo. That would kick ass especially if mobs designed for that would also be on the move. Given SE's latest track record of jumping over from where the fence is the shortest I don't think they'll do something that innovative though.
Maybe you need to ride a chocobo to jumping over a fence ^^

Oh god, I forgot about those chocobos in that game. That would look so bad ass. I just want a green one because it's my favorite color. Light or dark, doesn't matter with me as long as I can ride one and...cuddle it. Or purple. And speaking of cuddling, I want a moogle god damnit!
I have a feeling the reasons we only have Teleport right now is because they are building a better monster.
One of the biggest requests in XI before it was released (Poorly) was Chocobo Raising.
They are probably developing a chocobo raising system including armors and other things so that we could possibly use Chocobos in ways other then just transport.
Airships and Boats - I don't want to sound like too much of an optimist but I'm guessing that Airships might end up being something LS Companies have which is why there are docks for them everywhere. As well we have been told/hinted that LS Companies will eventually have the ability to work together to do things like build their own ships and go exploring the sea....
chocobo raising aside (as i think this was one of the best mount related features of ff11)
Anima should be left as is. It's amazingly useful to be able to teleport, but if you over use it, your stuck.
What they need to do is add chocobo vendors at the camps and citys. That work in the same way as ff11. You pay x amount of gil to ride a chocobo until you get off it.
So, to save anima you can rent a chocobo to run from uldah to horizon to hand in a leve quest or something. This would also give the game a way of removing gil out of the game. (a problem yoshi-p has previously highlighted).
While this wouldn't make every amazingly happy, it a) wouldn't be difficult to implement, b) would solve several problems at once and c) finally bring one of the largely staple parts of FF lore into the game.
I would *love* to see Chocobos added to the game as soon as possible! Im sure SE has some plans for that though, aside from the normal taxi service.
I really hope there is an option to raise them like the farm in Final Fantasy 7, then id be on this game 24/7 ;)
Maybe they could be added to the 'casino' some people think might not yet be opened in some of the main cities? Choco racing and betting would be great as well!
Having anima is good, vote for Chocobo, but remove anima = bad.
I'm guessing if other cities were more accessible (i.e. I could ride a Chocobo to Gridania or the Thanalan Ferry), then the cities might see some populous revival.
As long as I can raise a chocobo and customize it's armor and the like, I cannot ask for anything more. I'm gonna raise the crap out of that chocobo!

Agreed, implement chocobos, (airships and other ferry travel as well) and keep anima. However, I would agree to more limiting factors to anima porting, such as slower regen, only 50 max anima, or only allow porting to certain camps or aetheryte points only after other forms of travel are available.

I don't mind anima much, maybe bring it up to 2 anima regen per day and slash it in half to 50 with choco release.
I don't understand why I'd want to ride a chocobo if I can just use Anima... The idea of both existing is ridiculous.
Chocobos are a huge focus in almost every single Final Fantasy game... I hope they don't forget that.

Why would you walk if you can just use anima? Oh right because it eventually runs out (and quite quickly if you use it too often).
Chocobos have their place alongside teleporting and airships. I imagine chocobos will be a form of travel restricted in some way but gained via player work. Airships will travel to designated locations and likely be governed by gil. Teleporting is for quickly getting to a specific camp but it runs out quick if you use it too often. We'll likely see anima become a little more scarce when the other modes are introduced, just to balance it out a bit.
It's not out of the question to say that there may be areas only accessible via chocobo and airship respectively, as well as areas that can only be accessed on foot.
I think anima shouldn't even have been in the game in the first place,and chocobos and airship included on launch then we wouldn't have this discussion. Anima is lame. We might as well instance everything since we can teleport every where we want to go.
i dont know what sort of magic anima regeneration tools you have, but i can run out of anima really fast, you get, what 6 anima a day? thats one long distance teleport or two short distance ones.
Did yall guys really travel that little in a game you play often? The point of anima is to save players time who dont play that often, it also is pretty cool to travel the world getting various crystal points.
I dont see why chocobos would be unecessary, i would kill for faster movement speed. Airships, if they take a super long time, may not be as useful, however if they contain some content, like random battles, maybe some gambling, and are in fact faster then traveling by foot or chocobo, they will definately have worth.

I must be the only person that runs around everywhere and spends no more than 3-4 anima a day.
But I would still like to see our famous fluffy feathered friends back and available to use.
This would be a lot more fun if there was something to look at. I run everywhere in XI because I think traveling those interesting and beautiful environments is THE most aspect of the entire game.
In XIV it's hard to tell where you are in the desert because the trip from ferry to Ul'dah is the same piece of land repeating over and over. I don't enjoy traveling in XIV because there is nothing to see.
Yes copy n pasted terrain is quite bad :/ it repeats too much. You would not notice same place 3x on whole map. But its like 15x
